4 months out-of-date cat like to bite so much?
My cat is 4 months old and he likes to bite sooo much. Whenever im trying to carry him he will bite my hand and it hurts!! His fangs are so small and sharp. Is there anyway to stop him from biting adjectives the time?
He might be teething or maybe he doesn't want to be held. How do you hold him. Try holding over your shoulder similar to a baby.
At that age, he is probably teething, which does not help matters. I would recommend proverb "no" loudly and firmly and then refuse him any attention for a short while afterward. Most likely he will grow out of it.
Make certain he has enough toys that he can bite on. You could try replacing your hand near a toy.
One of my cats is a year and a half and she still hates being carried. Some cats are a bit more unstable than others and unfortunately sometimes you just have to work around that. Make certain that when you are holding him he feels secure...make certain your supporting his rear/back legs and holding him close to your body.
Good luck.
Answers: Is your kitten declawed? That may be one of the reasons why he is biting so much. Another reason, like everyone else said, is because your kitten is teething. Cats start getting their first infant teeth at about 3-4 weeks old, then they will lose their "milking" teeth and own their adult teeth come in up until the age of about 8 months outdated.
My cats try to bite me whenever they are in a really playful mood and it hurts! I usually flick them in the antenna (very gently!) while saying NO (not yelling it, newly sternly saying it) and they usually get the message not to do it again. It works. Also, whenever he starts to bite, find an appropriate item, approaching a toy, to put into his mouth so he knows that those kinds of things are okay to bite. If he still tries to bite your hand, that's when the muzzle flick comes in handy.
He is teething, like a baby. They do this for a few months, and adjectives you can really do is put something else in his mouth instead of your hands. Try giving him play mice or something, most cats love those.
He's a young cat and likes to practise his biting. He's probably not very used to you. Just walk off him alone and he'll get used to you. If this is a stray cat that you found on the streets then net sure you have him vaccinated. If he still bites consequently you'd better take him to a vet.
