I had kitten since she was 8 weeks old, she be litter trainned, now she is 5 months old. everything were great but immediately Every morning i got up and let kitten out of bathroom i find uriun on center of floor everywhere, i let kitten sleep contained by bathroom that where litter is, with food, water. I do convert litter every day or 2 days just depending how dirty it gets.. I enjoy got uriun-off special sprayer to remove marks to trace it didn't seem to facilitate, she do it still, and now kitten has attempting to do it behind of t.v even near clean litter iin living room, what wrong?!.. I am getting kitten fitted (sprayed) when she is 6 months old) if you had expenice same problems and please share me how did u solve the problem?
To me, this sounds more like a urinary tract problem. If she was fine and using the litter box, and suddenly quit...she's probably associating the twinge, of the urination, with the litter box.

What I did when my cat started doing this.I took her to the vet for a checkup...sure enough...UTI. We get meds for the infection, and she's fine now.

So...unless you've already done this, and the vet says she doesn't have a UTI...I'd own her checked out. Can't hurt, might help!

BTW...waiting to have her spayed until she's 6 months old, may be too behind schedule. She may go into heat at ANYTIME, now. So, while you're at the vet, ask him how soon he'd be liable to do the spaying. Get it over with BEFORE she goes into heat!

Good luck..
You need to get her spayed.

She is spraying to let masculine cats know she is available.

My cat did it behind the tv, in the bath and contained by or on plastic bags and handbags, in fact sometimes she would fly up on my nice new leather couch and blatantly do it in front of me.

Got her spayed approximately 6 months ago she is much more content these days and never had the problems with her since.
Answers:    it could be that she is fussy about her litter. have you changed her litter brand lately? She could also have a behaviorial problem, is she getting ample attention?
Hi- I had a similar problem, and it turns out that I be doing several things wrong.First, the litter box was in the laundry room. If the cat gets alarmed by a loud noise ( like the spin cycle) while using the box they associate the fright with the litter box, and so they avoid using it. Also, I be adding baking soda to the litter to control odor-This can fizz when they urinate, and scare them. They don't like it whether their food dish is too close to the litterbox-they will potty as far from the food as possible. My vet also reccomends scooping the box several times a day, Some cats ( like mine!) won't use it if nearby is ANYTHING dirty in it. Good Luck!
Well first stale you need to get her spayed that will help out. Second she could enjoy a Urinary tract infection. Cats blame the litter box for there pain so they urinate on other things to see if it feel better. Take your cat to the vet and they will give you some antibiotics to help clear it up.
This one's tough for a few specific reason. For starters, for punishment to be effective it needs to be on a fixed schedule of respectively and every time, but the cat may not know why it is being punished unless you catch them in the feat. And as for training of the litter box usage, a schedule of positive reinforcement will help the cat to better grasp the concept of using the box. Mix the reinforcement a bit: sometimes food, sometimes petting etc.
You'll need to maintain up some kind of reinforcement for a longer period of time, otherwise the behavior will go into extinction, as you clearly know by very soon. As the cat gets older, it will retain this lesson more.

Don't give up! Training cats is harder than training most dogs or other pets, so congrats on that!

Note: Provide reinforcement the respectively time the cat goes near the litter box for a while to help seize the cat to be in that area more often of its own concurrence, then reward upon completion of using the box, once boxed is being used again, stop reinforcing the "near the box" behavior so the cat know that the box is the place to be for expelling wastes.
Anybody hold any information on no snuff cat shelters?   Found out my kitten have graceful leukemia...is it not detrimental to bring another cat surrounded by the house?   What's the worst that could evolve whether you donate you kittens absent at 3 weeks mature?   4 months behind the times cat like to bite so much?
