Any direction on introducing 2 cats ?

we have a 19 month old cat lucy who came to live beside us 7 months ago with her sister who sadly got run over 6 weeks ago,we be worried lucy would be lonely so 3 weeks ago we got a 7 month old kitten,we have tried lots of ways to bond/introduce them but nought seems to be working if anything lucy seems to get the impression pushed out and that is the last thing we needed, does anybody have any advice/suggestions ?

I'm so sorry to hear that. If you plan on liable letting them out, always make sure you can keep hold of an eye on them to ensure no one else is a victim to careless driving. The best entry I can say is time. It's takes a lot of time. Try introducing them next to supervised meetings in one room. Then the next sunshine, make it a bigger room or two rooms. They're bound to battle it out with some hisses & swats, so consent to them do what they need to while you're around to make sure not a soul gets hurt. Good luck <3
Keep them seperated, let them sniff eachother through a crack in the door. Try feeding them on contrasting sides of the door as well. Then, when you think they're ready, agree to them be in the same room, and give them both lots of treats and compliment. Also, what may come off as a cat being super mean is merely them trying to show that they're the dominant one. Just stay in the room and supervise, and only stop them if they catch super violent. My cats had to work things out and it was a touch weird/scary for a day (we thought we were going to have to bring the untried kitten back to the humane society), but by the next day they be sleeping together. Plus, some cats just aren't meant to be friends.
Answers:    The usual way to introduce them is to isolate the new cat contained by an enclosed room for a couple of days, then switch the cats. This way, they acquire used to each others scents. Then start gradually introducing them contained by person while you supervise. Another trick some people have used is to use a scent close to feliway.
We have this problem many tears ago, my tip would be to introduce some cardboard boxes around the home these will give the elder cat somewhere to go where she wont feel threatened, they will eventually find on together but at the moment the younger kitten will be just that little livelier.

Hope this helps because I think it is well-mannered to have two cats rather than just the one.

You poor thing, i wouldn't want to dance through that again, its allot of hard work and patience, Ok i can only bring up to date you what people told me.
Firstly keep them separated at first, after a couple days swap the bedding or the blanket the cats sleep on, this way the other cat get a smell of the others scent. then introduce them through glass, keep doing this for a few days, later short play time for about 5mins a day then 10min, 15mins etc until you see they are making progress, at first the play time will consist of hissing scratch etc, but each time it becomes less dramatic. Good luck
my cats did this toso everytime big cat mean to little cat hit it soft on the nose or steal away its food for 5 mins
