Any other suggestions? (HELP)?

Ok, My Kitten has been stuck up on a tree for over 7 hours now and I can't procure him down.. lol .. I called the fire dept. and they can't help, I tried putting some food at the bottom of the tree to see if he will come down, nil.. Its freezing out and its about to start snowing, and I don't have a ladder, any other suggestions?
Is my cat dying? Please aid me?

I would suggest perchance calling a friend with a ladder.

Call the police.
They normally get the fire department involved.
If they ask why you didn't call the fire dept. tell them you did but they overlooked you need of help and that you're cat has be stuck in a tree for 7 hours and you've tried to get him/her down but nothing have worked. They should understand with the weather.
If that doesn't work, see if a neighbor can help out.

Go to the kids house and tell his mother that he accidentally chased your animal up a tree after he let the dog chase down the cat. Offer $10 for the kid to them climb the tree and bring the cat down.

Do you think you can climb it ? Try asking your neighbour whether they can help or borrow you a stepladder. Or you should try calling your cat's name. Poor thing. Or call the dog and panic him once again to get him down. Don't worry. He'll come down sooner or later. Just be restraint. And goodluck (:

Answers:    Are here any animal rescue/ RSPCA type groups in your area? Also, what about tree loppers? They might hold the gear to get up the tree and get your cat down. Maybe you could ask a vet for some contacts for that sort of thing. Or a tradesman that fixes a house roof - they might hold the safety skills and gear too. How high up is your kitten stuck?
