Any suggestions for working the gusto out of a Siamese cat?

I unknowingly adopted a part or maybe full breed Siamese cat. I get her at a shelter. She started dropping toys at my feet when she was about 6 months wanting to play fetch. She's more or less 1 now and wants to play fetch more as well as whining close to a baby at 3 or 4 in the morning. It wakes me up because at times I estimate she's injured or something.

Any tips other than putting her on a leash and taking her for a walk. She's more like a dog than a cat.
try buying da mouse or squirrel cat toy...cats go crazy for those...dey chase it around for awhile.good physical activity.
If you are trying to "train" your cat to take walks on a leash ur best bet is to put the leash on the cat and consent to it walk around inside with it on for a little bit every time to get it used to doing so! We "trained" one of our cats to do that but be careful not to leave the leash on inside for too long or your cat might find tangled underneath of something or hang itself jumping up on something. I use the word "train" loosely because you really can't train a cat to do something close to a dog can be trained! Good Luck!
Answers:    Here are some suggestions to enrich your cat's environment so she can divert herself better. Give your cat more things to do by itself. Yeah I know, s/he's already got a million toys, right? Try putting away all but a few, and later rotating them every few days so they seem fresh and new. And don't forget to give some things to put away in and climb on, like a nice climb-able cat tree (I recommend the kind wrapped surrounded by sisal rope over the carpeted style), a paper grocery bag, or a cardboard box. If money is short, you can make a tree yourself - my boyfriend made one out of sliver lumber, 6in diameter pvc pipe, and some sisal rope; I'm not that handy, but I have made some kitty fun houses by gluing strong cardboard boxes together and cutting holes within between them so the cats could climb around, attached some burlap to one side for something to scratch at, and put a few toys inside. Give a couple of different bags or boxes at a time, so s/he can dart from one to the other. There are toys that are made to dangle from door knobs or from the top of the door. Catnip pad are great, too. Try one of those toys that drop treats as the cat plays with them. Consider changing how you feed kitty - instead of food other at one location, what about putting several small portions in different locations, for her to explore, hunt and find. Don't forget the value of birdwatching - whether possible, put bird feeders outside of your cat's favorite sitting-windows - instant CatTV. And don't worry too much if squirrels achieve to the birdseed - squirrels are fun to watch, too.
Laser pointers work wonders... simply point the light and let that crazy kitten chase it around until she's tired
