Anyone else hold a cat ever do this?
ok my Himalayan/ rag doll mix walks around the house like she is the queen. whether a door is closed in the house she scratches on it until someone opens it for her but consequently she never goes in. when company comes she is the first one to greet everyone (and expects everyone to go crazy over her) she also will chace my other kitty around the house until i break them up. i am not going to sprawl she is a great cat and i love her but is there a reson for this behavior? (she is 18 years old and extremely healthy and act like a kitten)
Some cats just do they contrary to popular belief will act similar to dogs and a group making one the alpha. In her mind she does own the house
If she has done this forever, then it is only just her personality and her way of seeking attention. I have one cat that other wants to be the center of attention.
If she has just only just started acting this way, then it could be that she is trying to show the other kitty that she is still the alpha cat.
Answers: Some cats need the extra attention. Allie scream if a door is closed but, like your girl, doesn't go contained by when I open it. She doesn't allow me to take naps. If I fiction down, she screams till I get up. she also takes the filter out of the litter boxes. I've tried to sneak them back in while she's asleep but she always finds them and removes them again. It lately really boils down to personality.
your cat must be so cute. when someone comes to my house my cat greets them with a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. and i hold to put her in the room so she won't scratch them. my cat also hates when populace touch her.
You may go out to work or shop, but she is at hand all the time. She knows it's her house.
She didn't want to go within the room, she wanted you to come out of the room. My cat used to do that too. If you come out and sit down, odds are she will sit in your nouns.
She just wants more attention.
