Anyone ever tried Bitter Yuck to hold on to their cat from chewing on something it shouldn't?
I have used Bitter Apple in the past when I have a Beagle. It was a good deterrent for him. My cat is chewing on the Christmas tree and I am afraid he will bite a light cord. I call the pet store and they said they sell a product from the makers of Bitter Apple called Bitter Yuck. Just wondering whether I should try it. I can't stand guard 24/7 with a squirt bottle of cold water. :-)
Answers: yeah. i tried bitter yuck because my dog was chewing on the sofa. it works really well. after your cat tastes it i don't think it will be chewing on the tree anymore.
I haven't tried it but I've found a moment or two lemon juice or vinegar rubbed on the cords keeps mine from chewing them.
