Can I find herpes from a kitten?
Ok so yesterday I was at my friends house playing with a darling kitten that have an infected eye with gunk coming out of it. Well it was a spunky little kitty and I got scratched a couple times while I be playing with it. I later asked if it have pink eye and the lady told me it was Herpes. She said we all (animals and humans) own the herpes virus but its not noticable til it becomes active. And for this kitty it became stirring. Is that true? Can I get herpes cause I got scratched?
No you cant seize this. Was this kitten not vaccinated for this? Is he under any kind of treatment? Even tho this is not transmittable from cats to humans i really hope u wash ur scratches with warm soapy sea.
i don't cogitate so, but as far as people, the herpes virus is not something we all have. it's something you contract from someone who is carrying the virus. yes it's true that it doesn't other make itself visible but no, she's wrong saying we adjectives have it.
here check this site out.. it tells you what exactly the virus is contained by cats and how it is transmitted. doesn't say a thing about associates being able to catch it.
Answers: No. Feline Herpes cannot be transferred to humans.
nothing to worry about unless you wipe an infected finger on your own cat!
