Can you cause a cat really really friendly?

I met a cat that was so friendly. Even after you pet him, he stays and wants more. Most just run away after you play for a while. This guy loves attention and will nibble gently on your appendage. How do you make a cat like that? can any adult cat become similar to that?

He lives in a house with 2 other cats but he's the friendliest of them all. So it's not approaching they rub off on him. Is it genetic?
Like everyone else said - lots of human interaction =]
Negative human interaction or lack thereof will probably variety them distrust people.
My cat is friendly inside of the house, but she gets very careful outside of the house - she only lets me stroke her when she's external if it's a sunny day (when it's sunny she's usually rolling around on the floor everywhere XD)
most friendly cats are ones that were adopted by a loving nearest and dearest when they were very young and are used to human interaction. Some cats never are completely friendly though because of their nature, but that doesnt mean they dont love their owners.
in my experience, cats disgust being forced to be friendly. any attempts to force them to stay next to you or cuddle just variety them angry and even more unsocial. I think the best way to make a cat friendly is to consent to it naturally approach you. keeps treats with you and whenever the cat comes over for affection build sure to give it some!
Possibly and whether you grow up treating the kittens with a level of love and compassion they can't help but be similar to that.

ahh u cant gross a cat do what you want it too usually. this cat is just a rare lovers so relish him. i dont think you can make another cat do this. they are so independant. usually they utter a cat personality his molded by the first 8 wks of life. maybe his momma be a great licker and he just inherited it from her.

Answers:    The best way to "make" a cat friendly is to socialize him from early kittenhood. Before he's open his eyes, he can be getting used to all the smells and sounds of people. By handling a kitten frequently you can teach him to associate relations with food, the pleasure of being scratched under the chin, etc.

Unsocialized cats (ferals) enjoy a hard time learning to trust people at adjectives, let alone learning to enjoy contact next to them.

You also have to understand that different cats have different personality, just like people. I own an 11-month-old cat who was extremely well socialized from birth but she's still quite independent and doesn't close to a whole lot of attention. It's just the way she is, and zilch I could've done would have changed that.
A cat does what makes them happy, not the owners.

So if attention is what make them happy, then they beg for attention.
the best way to bring a cat like that is to raise it. When it is drastically little you have to give a lot of time to it. You enjoy to pet it and hold it a lot from the time it is very little. This is what makes really friendly cats.
