Cat throws up undigested food?
My cats sometimes throws up a little food that is like not chewed on and lately swallowed. I give them dry cat food and sometimes wet. How could I prevent my cat from throwing up food?
You might ba able to stop this by giving your cat less food at a time. Feed him partially of what you normally feed him a day, but break it up into two meal, ya know? If this doesn't work, don't worry at all. It's perfectly average.
Hope I helped!
If your cat is eating too in haste there are a few things you can try. Elevate the food dish; feed more frequent meals surrounded by smaller portions; purchase a specially made bowl designed to slow down his eating. http://www.amazon.com/Brake-Fast-Dog-Foo...
What happen is that your cat eats the correct amount of dry food to fill its stomach but they don’t “chew” their food. They put away the pieces whole with maybe a crunch or two. As the food head towards the stomach it begins to leach moisture from the cat and the food expands greatly. If this happens to fast and beforehand the food makes it to the stomach, the cat vomits up full "puffed up" pieces of food.
This can be prevented by feeding wet food as humour intended. Cats were never meant to eat dry food, also particular as cereals or kibble. We, humans, make them eat it for convenience to us. It have nothing to do with them or their nutritional needs. It's completely species indecorous.
All small domestic cats descended from desert cats. In the wild, desert cats derive their entire liquid intake from their prey. They do not have a thirst device because they don't need it when eating a species appropriate diet. They get adjectives they need from what they eat. Additionally water be usually not available to them in their desert climate. So they do not often drink sea. Regular ol' house cats have descended from those same wild desert cats.
So in a domestic environment, your kitty does not get the moisture it needs from dry food and it’s almost other in a constant state of dehydration. Water fountains are encouraged to TRY to find your cat to drink more and your kitty may even enjoy it, but it will never meet its water intake desires drinking from a bowl.
Deadly feline illnesses such as diabetes, kidney failure, obesity, allergies, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), bladder stones, kidney stones, urinary tract blockages and Urinary Tract Infections (FLUTD), beside and without deadly crystals run rampant these days. Cats are not taking contained by enough water to stave them off. Proper hose down intake through a species appropriate diet alone can prevent most of these conditions.
Overall, wet is all around better for any cats diet, be it canned or Raw and they should never be feed dry cereal kibble if we wish to most closely match their undomesticated nutritional and dietary needs. Kibble meets our needs… not our cats.
may be try one kind of cat food like the wet gentle. either she/he can't chew good enough or it could be mane balls they throw that up also.
and somethimes when there is more than one cat around they tend to eat faster to prevent other cats ingestion their food. good luck
