Cat won't munch through after vet stop by?
My 12 spayed female cat was constipated and could not stool. I took her to the vet yesterday and they did an enema and gave her fluids underneath the skin. I brought her home yesterday and she was very hush course she always is but she did come downstairs. I am concerned because she has not much interest in food or dampen. However she is licking the gravy from the canned food. I a just concerned with her food/water intake.
My cats were similar to this for a while too. I think it's just that their stomachs are upset after being spayed. Mine threw-up a couple of days after that and they were so so quiet, would barely move. After a few days though, they be fine and are completely back to normal now. Just maintain a close eye on your cat and make sure there's always hose around for it, maybe a little warm milk and some soggy bread might serve settle its stomach a bit too.
Good luck! x
whether she doesnt poop then shes got big problems and may need to be hospitalized to bring that poop out. usually after theyve been traumatized at the vet they will not want to come out. shes been raped and poked, poor item . they dont know were trying to help. keep her eating/drinking best you can to avoid another call in. give tuna water or chicken broth.anything shell eat/drink
Just keep her indoors and keep an eye on her for a sunshine or so. if there is no improvement or she seem worse take her to the vet imedeatly. Chances are she still in shock and just requirements time.
maybe she was more than constipated or the hospital visit made her lose her appetite. she might be contained by some sort of pain or discomfort so i think you should leave her alone for awhile and whether she still doesn't eat then take her rear legs to the vet for an examination
Answers: Hiya Kit cat !
She's probably rather upset about the visit to the vets (some animals HATE going at hand - and I speak from experience !)
Just keep her warm - make the food & hose down available anyway - and she should pick up in a day or two - If she's still no different after a couple of days - shift back to the vets with her.
Good luck !
