Cats and milk teeth ?
I'm not too sure if this is a bit of a mad ask, but do cats have milk teeth ?
My brother in law have a cat that has just lost a tooth, its still only a immature cat at 3 years old.
Just wondering if they have milk teeth ?
They do, but 3 years old is waaaay past that.
Have your BIL take the cat to the vet, whether the roots of the teeth are still in there, they need to be pulled so they don't win infected.
Yes, they do, but they lost them at 3-4 months not 3-4 years so the 3 year old cat shouldn't be losing teeth. Best take it to the vet and check it doesn't enjoy gum disease - they can get gingivitis (which I can't spell) just like humans - and it may call for treatment.
They have "baby" teeth that fall down out around 5-6 months and are replaced by adult teeth.
They do have baby teeth but they lose these at about 6 months so any teeth that she have now will be adult teeth!
Answers: yes cats do enjoy milk teeth
first teeth start coming through at about three weeks ..
by 6 months they should have lost all their milk teeth and should enjoy a full set of permanent teeth ..
at 3 years old I would check the gums for signs of gingivitis, if the gums look inflammed I would give somebody a lift the cat to the vets ..
