Cats and running dampen?
what is it with cats and running water. I have a cat that will drink sea out of a running tap like crazy and dismiss her water bowl whether the tap is on. My fiance just got a cat and she does like peas in a pod thing, dismisses her water bowl if the touch water is running. My cat loves water that is hot from the hip bath, what the heck! Why do they do this?
Answers: That's just it--they're cats! And they love running water. (The hot water drinker, all right, that's just odd!) They make fountains for cats...river bowls with recirculating running water. Some cats will only drink running water--I know a cat who would wake up his owner in the middle of the night when he be thirsty, so she could turn on the tap. It's just a cat thing.
Most of them are alike. Not sure there has be any research as to why this is but a logical guess is that being a moving water source it would seem more fresh than a stagnant source and smaller amount likely to cause sickness if they be still in the wild.
