Cats fastener grew into wipe. Can I cut pin?

yeah
If there's any sign of irritation, redness or swelling surrounded by the paw pad I would go to the vet to have it cut. Mainly because these can be signs of infection and further treatment may be called for. Otherwise, you can try it but keep in mind that it's probably pretty bumpy for the cat at this point. Try to be as gentle as possible.
First, I want to read out thanks for clipping your cat's claws and not getting him/her declawed. It is incredibly inhumane.

I clip my cat's claws and sometimes this happens to me. The only time it happen is on my cat's dew claw (the one on the inside of their arm). What I do is just take the clippers and kind of "chip away" at it. I distribute her a break then do it again. It is a little painful but letting it run will cause big problems.

I just try to prevent this problem by remembering this isolated claw when I clip the rest of her claws.
If your cat's nail has grown into the wad, and you see that the "pink line" is all the way into the pad, too...it's too unpaid for YOU to cut it. That "pink line" is the blood line, and you could cause GREAT PAIN and BLOOD LOSS to your cat.

This is the ONE time that it would be BEST for you to have your cat's nail trimmed by the VET. He may have to sedate the cat, to get it done SAFELY. After it's done...be certain to keep them trimmed (every couple of weeks).

Hope you don't try to do this yourself. You could do some serious damage..or the cat could damage YOU!

Good luck...
Answers:    i would strongly advise against it. I work at an animal shelter and this happened to one of our cats to to inactivity. Bring it to a vet, depending on how desperate it is your cat most likely will be placed on antibiotics. Additional surgery may be required if need be. Just whip the cat to the vet, they're trained to know what to do whereas any other actions may further worsen the condition and hurt the cat. hope this helps
If the staple is into the pad and not just touching it, its better to take your cat to the vet and hold them cut it. If bleeding occurs they can take care of it.

Its best to clip as needed once a week to prevent this from going on.
Geezus. Why would you neglect trimming them for so long that it's imbedding into the pad? Don't try to do this yourself - whip the cat to the vet and have them do it. And if you don't have five minutes every few weeks to trim this cat's claws later surrender this poor cat to a no-kill shelter so a more responsible, caring pet owner can adopt it.
The cat is not scratching enough.
take to a well-mannered groomer and help hold the cat for them (if they won't allow you to help don't use them)
they can cut them to the appropriate lingth... then YOU hang on to it up!
If it looks irritated you should take her to the vet because it could be infected. Otherwise, you should be fine. Just remember to clip her nails often afterwords to prevent it from going on again.
i dont see why not.
you should be cutting your cats nails regularly... there are special fastener clippers for cats they curve around the cats nails and clip them off with out hurting the cat... breed sure you hold the cat down securely because they struggle randomly.. fitting luck
