Cats peeing on the floor?? HELP?

Hi,
I have two lovely exotic 12 month old cats. I have one kittly litter tray that they both use but for the final two mornings (and a couple of times before) one of them has been using it and the other must of been busting lol, and go on the floor, hallway! Can you teach ur cats to hold on till the other finishes? I would prefer 2 litter trays but I barely hold room for one let alone 2. This has never been a physical problem, just the last two morning they have pee'd surrounded by the same spot just don't want it to become a habit.
Sprinkle pepper in the area that they hold urinating in.

Also, clean the box more frequently.
You should take the cat to the vet. Cats, unlike populace, do not tend to hold their pee until the last minute, so it is not simply a case of the other cat getting there first. Urinating external of a clean litter box is often a sign of a urinary tract infection or cystosis or other health problems. The cat may also be distresssed emotionally: a modification in their environment, or in the way the two cats are interacting next to each other can cause a cat to urinate outside the box. A veterinarian can rule out any physical problems, and can help out to find ways to eliminate the behavior.
Answers:    We have a cat who did this, and the only thing that seemed to work be to get another litter tray. Apparently the general rule of thumb is to have as plentiful litter trays as there are cats, plus one. So in your case, 3.
You can't train a cat to hold on. Some will naturally do it, but some just aren't that smart.
You're supposed to hold one more litter box than you have cats. Since you have two cats, you should enjoy three, no less than two, litter boxes. This is the problem.
get rid of the one that sprays, it will litteraly verbs your house.
I would either reproach them, take them to the litter pan, and show them where to clutch a whiz...
Or just punish them and lock them in a room for 20 minutes or so...
Are they fixed?
let them outside, if that doesn't work smack them and put their snout in the mess they will soon learn
Cats usually go contained by the wrong place because something is wrong. Maybe they don't like a dirty box and that's why they are going on the floor. Is it near the box? Maybe the box is too small. Just some ideas. I doubt he is doing it because he can't hold it until the other cat is done! :o)
If your cat cant hold a potty for a few mintues its a worry I would check on. this
In yesteryear pets of mine had a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) and one had diabetes and stopped using the litter box, one of my other kitties have inflammatory bowel disease and she stopped using the box for bowel movements. My other cat would come into the bathroom and pee in the shower or jump in the tub and pee. They are trying to update you something when this happens. Bring your pet to the VET for a well kitty/dog check up, my kitty had a UTI from glorious sugar in her urine and diabetes as you can see many reasons. One of my dogs who be house trained started peeing on the floor I scolded her wrongly as I found out next day I saw blood surrounded by her urine. She was in pain and any couldn’t hold it or trying to tell me something too. Have her checked out soon as you can. GOOD LUCK
