Confused over kittens behavior?
I have a very sweet kitten who loves to cuddle. she sleeps every night on my shoulder. Before she does though she go up to my face, smells my breath then goes down to my shoulder. once near she curls up, and sucks on on my finger. she grabs my hand with both of her paw and pulls it up to her mouth. she then procedes to suck, lick and gently chew on my little finger untill she falls asleep.
I'm not sure why she does this, its drastically cute but i'd like to know why
My kitten does that too. Kittens love to do stuff like that, when at hand little.
Hi Katherin, she thinks you're her mommy, (what an honor!) She's forming a lifelong bond w/ you. How precious! She may hold been weaned from her mom too soon, but it sounds like she's found a surrogate...YOU! Congratulations!! Enjoy, female's tend to become extremely independant as they mature, purely like 'our' children, so cherish this time with her!!

My cat does this too, and he is 6 months old!
Cats do this to be aware of comfort, and to know that they have someone to love. And that someone will take attention of them like a real mother does.
And to show you that they love you!
