Do 5 week outdated kittens have need of to be feed milk?

My grand -ma got this new kitten she found external. It doesn't have a mom .Does it need to be fed milk.
Ok almost everyone on this enumerate does not know anything about cats,

kittens if the mother is alive you don't have to verbs about it but if the mother is dead later any other milk except mother cat milk or cat formula when the cats get big around the size of a side of a shoe box stop feeding them milk
collectively they need milk til they have enough teeth to in actuality crunch kitten food. They runs about 6-8 weeks. But you might try it on goat's milk, which is pretty rich and see if it has even so developed the lapping approach to drink. I think that happens thereabouts, whether memory serves from when I raised 2 kittens from the actual womb. Try the goat's milk with perhaps, whether it seems to need more regularly than every 4-5 hours or so, a bit of syrup or honey in it. If it will lick it up, devout. if not, you might have recourse to a bottle. good luck
Yes.when there like a year old afterwards you can feed them water
Ok i just edited this answer i did right "yes they do" but i a short time ago relised it dosnt have a mom, dont take no advice from here apart from stir and see the vet, and ask them what to do as it dosnt have a mom and you don't want to risk them being ill a short time ago because someone sounded convincing on here, don't feed it milk just yet as it could injure it but then you dont want to not feed it as it could be good for the kitten, so net a appointment ASAP and ask them what to do, they will no. Good luck
Yes. Kittens under 2 months need milk.
Noooo!

Giving your kitten milk can cause upset tummies, cramps and severe diarrhea. Diarrhea can be deadly to kittens because it dehydrates their little bodies very at a rate of knots.

Cats and kittens do not need to drink milk and can live their entire lives without having one knees of milk. Water is all they will ever need. If you really want to give them milk later you can purchase special kitten milk which is lactose free from your pet food store, vets or supermarket but they really don't need it.

I've purchased cat milk at my local grocery store http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3271/2767...
I would just bestow her water, special cat milk and kitten food - dry food is better for sensitive kitten stomachs but she may not want to eat it or may not be able to. If she can't devour it try mixing it with wet food. Take her to the vet asap, he/she will be able to make available you some high protein supplement to help her gain weight and gain her strength up. The vet will also need to deworm her and check her for things like ear mites (which can be deadly for kittens). If she have diarrhea the situation is serious. Keep an eye on her. Abandoned kittens are often in pretty poor condition and need abundantly to help them live. I'm glad you guys are taking care of her. :)
Yes but water it down. until you have wee it it will take 2or 3 weeks. nurture it kitten food in can food or soften the kitten hard for know for the teeth are not strong all the same for hard food will be in 2-3 weeks.
5 weeks is when they are human being weaned. mom starts feeding less and showing it how to eat solid foods more regularly.

so, it might need milk, it might not.

try a little canned food, whether it wont eat it, try kitten milk, not cows milk, in a saucer.

if it wont chomp through that, you will have to bottle feed it.

dont feed it milk from a cow
I'm not sure for how long a cat mom feed its cubs with milk, but I just guess that a 5-month-old kitten should still be fed near milk - it's actually still quite young
yes. i would try to see first whether she will eat cat food by its self. if the kitten does not eat it consequently try to put cat food it warm milk and see if the kitten will eat that...

whether the kitten does not eat then i would try feeding her milk.
Kittens should be mostly weaned by 6 weeks and completely on solid food by 8 weeks.
However, it's a bad idea to give kittens cow milk, as it seriously upsets their digestive tract. I've hear good things about using a soy milk substitute or specifically designed kitten milk (which you can usually find within the pet food isle or, maybe, at the vet's).

I say that, for now, it can be given milk (not cow's), but it'd be a really angelic idea to start it on some kitten food (not adult cat food since kittens need the nutrience contained by kitten food). You can also try some wet cat food made specifically for kittens.

You can also find some good information on this petsask.coms question and reply. I hope this help!

o god the comment below is impolite.
if you go to the store and get special milk for kittens
that want milk with vitamins
my kitten was like 5 6 weeks wen i get him.i Fed him THE SPECIAL KITTY milk and he is heathy and fine
yes it will die whether you dont but dont give it regular milk it is really really really really really bad for them
I just get a 7 week old kitten and it eats solid foods, it depends on the cat

some cats can be weened after 4 weeks, some at 6, but it should be fine with solids.
At this age? All the bacon cheeseburgers they want.

But cats should never be fed milk.
Hell, no get some soft cat food. Feed it soft food for 2 or 3 weeks, after just start feeding it regular cat food after that
Never give a cat or kitten milk, it gives them worms. Water whether appropriate.
yes it does. most pet stores convey formula for kittens and also bottles for kittens. good luck
DO NOT nurture the kitten cow's milk. It will get sick. Get Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR) at the Pet store or get goat's milk from the grocery store and cut it with somewhat water. You can also feed the kitten some kitten food as well.
Well not cow's milk that gives cats diarrhea. Give them condensed kitten milk.
Yes it does obligation to be fed milk, because the mother would normally give it milk to munch through {drink} and it is too young to be fed hard food, or commonplace cat food. But if you are not a 100% sure on what to do, tell your grandmother to thieve the kitten to a vet, and a veterinarian be able to tell you what to do. But you should not feed it regular milk, nurture it formula milk.

Good luck with your new kitten! (well your grandmothers kitten!)
they might not survive without the nutrients from their mothers milk, but they need milk up to 6-8 weeks
They stop eating from there mother at 6 weeks does this kitty hold teeth if so he or she will be fine
No, cows milk is not good for kittens or puppies, dispense it kitten food.
no most kittens that age are suitable to start feeding them soft food then hard at 7 weeks grounds that when their teeth are hardened enough to eat regular food
It should be fed formula milk...not cow milk because that will product it sick...
Answers:    Yes it does until it's just about 8 weeks of age - but NOT cow's milk.

Get some kitten milk replacement formula from a vet's or pet store. At this age, the kitten will be starting to wean so should be on kitten food, and formula until 8 weeks of age.

Do take the kitten to the vet asap as it will almost certainly enjoy worms, which are very debilitating for a kitten.

No reason it should die whether it's properly cared for, what's up the first answerer's ***?

Chalice

EDIT: Cats do not get worms from milk! Cow's milk will give them diarrhoea.
no milk is bad for their digestive system.
yes, but don't dispense them too much milk or the kitten will get sick. As for other kinds of food, go to a store and ask the body what kind of cat food the kitten should have (and how often, etc.).
cows milk kill cats
how do u know its 5 weeks?
but yes they do sometimes.
depends.
