Does my cat own FIV?

My mom told me yesterday that maybe my cat (Boom Quesha) had feline aids and i only just started to ball my eyes out. Shes going to the vet tm. But do you think she has aids this is what she have.
a couple sores that have not healed they are just scabs a couple patch of missing fur, and i think she has diarrhea. But idk whether it is because i was thinking it may be because she has no vaccinations and i ponder she has worms ,but idk. she like bites at her fur sometimes and pulls it out so idt its falling out. My moms friend lori said she might do that because of a nervous condition. I estimate the reason why she has alot of her scabs is because she pulls her fur out and itches alot. she does have fleas, but not several. Do u think she has a skin condition? What do you think?
Your vet will give an account you what the problem is. Either way, get your cat vaccinated, it sounds approaching you love her, and want to take the best care of her.
Since she have fleas, it's probably a flea allergy (dermatitis); just one flea will cause that reaction surrounded by some cats. Treat her for the fleas with Revolution.

She may also have worms or other intestinal parasites, or her food is disagreeing next to her, and causing the diarrhea

Take her to the vet and have her tested for FIV and FeLV. That's the only road you'll know for sure. Have her dewormed, vaccinated and spayed.

Feed her a top quality food http://www.catinfo.org
Answers:    FIV is gotten through cat bites, an infected cat bites wide into one who does not have it and the saliva goes into a moving blood supply.

Firstly, STOP CRYING. A cat with FIV can live over 15 years. The solely time it's a death sentence is when you get a vet not up on the current research who recommends automatic euthenasia. If this happen, get another vet, the one you have is not up to date on the disease. There's no reason to put a FIV cat down. They don't die from FIV, they die beside it. Totally a different thing.

We have 2 FIV positive males. They live 24/7 in the house next to 3 who do not have it and in 11 years there have been NO spread to the other three cats. Our FIV males do not bite so they don't pass this.

What it means for the cat, whether they have FIV is that the immune system is very low. Healing takes closely longer, but they do heal. You need to feed honourable food to keep their low immune system working good.

Keep them away from sick cats too, as it take them longer to get rid of cat colds and anything else they may catch.

The fur thing--if your cat has allergies to fleas, that's why she's pulling her fur out. Treat for the fleas and the fur pulling will disappear. If she hold on to pulling, it's likely a food allergy, you'll need to get a different food for her that won't trigger allergic reaction.

A vet can check her over and find out a lot. But if you didn't have a blood check done on her then you don't know if she is FIV positive. Any cat can show symptoms but it could be something completely different. The quick blood question paper the vet uses is the Elisha test, it has a known bomb rate of 30% on it for FIV meaning it gives false positives way too regularly to be the sole test to use. If you get a 'yes' with that question paper, only consider it a 'maybe'. The Western Blot is the test that's 100% accurate for FIV, but it costs $90 or so. It's sent to a lab and they look at the factors contained by the blood.

Don't stress about FIV, you don't even know if your cat has it right in a minute. From your descriptions it sounds more like she's got a flea allergy. Take her in for a checkup. Take a poop example too for them to check for worms so they can give you the correct meds to treat the type she's got. And whether you do the Elisha Snap test, don't get upset if it comes up a yes, she promising doesn't have FIV.

Our two FIV cats have had FIV for 10 years within the one, 7 years in the other. They don't have any symptoms other than runny eyes and a dry coat, both of which are treatable.
you should talk to your vet and see whether your cat is having a few flees or ticks or lime disease maybe thats why she "ripping' her fur off (scratching) do you see anythink else to be exact wrong with her?
Anyone "rescued" - domesticated a feral cat?   Behavior Modification - I *want* my cat to scrape?   Indoor/outdoor cat problem?   How did my cat die ? ?
