Does your cat counter surrounded by any process when they see themselves within the mirror?
My cat doesn't do anything suprisingly like other cats do.
I have this small mirror on the wall by my front door. My Siamese/ mix loves to get up on the desk and stare at himself within the mirror. It cracks me up how he makes sure he looks gooooood for all his girlfriends LOL!!
I read that it depends on the cat. They all have a sense of "consciousness," knowing that the reflection of the cat isn't authentic. But if they're inclined to clown-around, then they'll acknowledge the reflection & play!
My cats do not thought for mirrored cats at all, in fact, they seem to be more entertained by the reflection of ME. Either way, I verbs 'em, they rock.
yes
My cat is usually startled by his care at first, but then he just sits there and stares at it. I'm not certain if he thinks it's another cat and he's waiting for it to attack or what he's thinking. It is funny to see him jump absent from the mirror when he first passes it.
Some of my cats ignore their reflection. I've had one that seem to sit and admire the reflection. One of my current cats plays with it, standing on her hind legs to tango with it!
Because cats learn a reflection isn't definite they need to be in the right mood to pretend it is something to play with. Maybe your cat prefers indisputable toys it can get its paws around.
I know! My cats are so boring. I put them surrounded by front of the mirror and they just stare blankly at it, like it's nothing.
Definitely disappointing...I know how you discern lol.
Answers: Mine don't really respond much, they briefly glance beside the mirror then look at me as whether to say we are not silly, we know that it's only our weighing up and not another cat.
it attacks its relflection
Ah! Haha my cat screams at himself. "MEOWWW. MEOWWW." And he tries to open the sliding closet door which the mirror is on.
