Does your cat resembling Innova?

I'm thinking of switching both of my cats (both 9 years old) onto Innova Senior, wet. But need to know if it's appealing to cats beforehand I commit to driving an hour, one way, to the nearest place that sells it. One of my cats is allergic to corn and the other is prone to UTI's.

Mine were consumption Nutrience Supreme & Holistic wet for a year (before that Nutrience Holistic dry) and then all of a sudden they approved that they would rather starve than eat it. One of them lost 8 pounds, and the other one lost 4 lbs. One large can would ultimate them both 2.5 days. Although it's a wonderful food, health wise, it's no longer an option...patently.

So I found Eagle Pack Holistic, which on paper looks like a good food, and it's help them get their weight back to a strong range, they LOVE it...but, it only comes in dry form and I prefer drizzling for my cats because I know the health benefits of wet food (less chance of diabetes, UTI's and better for their teeth).

So whether your cat eats Innova, do they like it?
I don't nurture Innova, but I can give you some useful advice.

Although cats are individuals near their own likes and dislikes, they actually have completely few taste buds in comparison to other animals. So if you plunk something down and they don't devour it, don't despair. You have to engage their noses to get hold of them to try something new.

So below are some tips on getting cats to try new foods.

2. Buy as many variety as you can. Get different brands and different flavors. Also try different textures - some prefer mushy food, others prefer ones that are chunkier. You just never know what's going to appeal to a cat.

3. Offer a teaspoonful or so of the new food within a separate bowl at feeding time. Do this at every meal. The idea is that kitty will finally realize it's food and will tender it a shot. By offering just a small amount, you'll avoid digestive upsets should he or she be willing to give it a try.

4. If he tries any, register which brand/flavor it was. You may then want to focus on that brand or that flavor in other brands. But don't be fooled. The cat may chomp through it all up but then never want to eat it again. So earlier buying a case of a food that he seems to like, gross sure he's going to continue going for it.

5. You can try putting a smear of food on his nose or mouth. That'll lead to him to lick it. If he likes it, he may try more.

6. Bribes. Crush some kibble and sprinkle it over the top. Try fish or liver flakes, parmesan cheese, a drop of soy sauce, meaty baby food (with no added onion or garlic), whatever it take.

7. You can run the food (in a container of course) under hot or warm water or even nuke it for a few second to bring it to "mouse body temperature." This may also release the scent and that may draw the cat in.

8. Don't try starving the cat into submission. That could ultimately be mortal. You may want to cut back a bit on the regular food so that hunger may encourage him to devour, but don't force the issue. As he starts eating more canned, you will decrease the amount of kibble he's getting. But freshly be sure that he gets enough to munch through every day.

My cats enjoy both Innova and Wellness (turkey & chicken are their favorite flavors). Wellness also has a trial wet Core formula that has a higher protein content, but I haven't tried it however. If there is a Petsmart store closer than the one hour drive for the Innova, I would go with the Wellness since it's carried at Petsmart stores.
Answers:    Mine will eat the Innova, but much prefer the Wellness chicken. Wellness also make a slices in juice (comes in a pouch) that's extremely popular - no wheat gluten. What I do though is rotate among several variety of canned, so I'd suggest getting a few different kinds and see what yours prefer. Also massively popular are the Merrick foods, and a shredded chicken called Weruva.
