Does your cat sleep more contained by winter?
My 5 month old kitty seems to sleep more recently. She isn't sick, slow or anything. But she just seems to enjoy sleeping more.
Is it run of the mill in winter?
I have found beside my cat that it appears that she sleeps longer or more frequently during the winter months. I have also found out that it appears she also sleeps longer and more frequently the older that she gets.
Once cold weather hits and windows are closed, my cat spends more of his time sleeping. In winter, everything around here moves at a slower step, and he slows down accordingly. It's the same for animals as it is for people. It have a lot to do with circadian rhythm.

my fiance say that cats can sense weather patterns and "change of season" as he calls it and my cats own been sleeping more too recently so i have to agree.
Yes!! Thats all my cats do in the winter! Its nothing to verbs about.
Yes mine are too :) I get sleepy contained by the winter too, maybe because of the shorter days.
Answers: It's possible. Your cat is probably trying to lower down it's metabolism level to keep itself melt. Or your cat is just really tired. I find that my cats sleep more in winter as well, which is a virtuous thing because they're usually destroying our living room!
yes mine does,its because its getting colder and they dont close to being cold so they come in for extra nap.

Mine certainly do. The second it starts getting cold out, I see them napping more than usual.
maybe i think it is the in front of for ours though it may be because she is bored
My cat does matching thing, and I think I know why: She's an outdoor cat and she doesn't go external as much in the Winter, so obviously she sleeps more. I wouldn't worry approximately it if I were you.
