Getting a moment cat information?
We have a cat, one years old but was thinking of getting a moment.
My mom wants to get an older cat, so my question are,
will they get along?
would they share same dirt box?
same food bowls?
i need all help/information/advice, thank you contained by advance.
I'm not certain how your cat would do with an older cat, but I just adopt a new male kitten for my 2 year old womanly to play with. At first she wanted nothing to do next to him, but now they're best friends. It only took her a couple weeks to get used to him. Good luck :)
hi,
There is never ever an flowing begining to this, first off you should get a cat close to the age of the one you already have. they can share matching litter box and bowls. at first you will have some hissing and growling and they will act like they totall abhor each other which they do, it takes time and sometimes seperation in the begining. I hold alway let mine sniff each other through door before the actual introduction, it only just takes time, but in the long run they usually even become freinds. mine even sleep together very soon... good luck
Anytime you introduce another cat into a home, there will be some adjusting for both. If you hold on to the new cat separated for a week or so and have both cats together for short periods of time during the afternoon, they should adjust quickly. Since you have a young cat, it would probably be better to receive another cat in his age range so he will have someone to play beside. It is better to have at least 1 litter box per cat, so have at most minuscule 2 boxes that they can use. Food bowls at first should be separated until they get used to each other.

Yes, with time and patience it's quite feasible they'll get along, but then again they may not. A LOT of it has to do beside how you handle the introductions. Here are a couple of guides to get you started:

You will need another litter box - it's important, even though they may "share" both of them.
Separate food bowls are also a good conception.
Answers: we had this dilemma 6 months ago. We'd had our ingenious cat for a few months and she was all settled in. we approved to get another but it's taken a long time for them to get on. we took advice from the rspca and at first the moment cat was restricted to one room in the house, and the other cat wasnt allowed in. afterwards we had to put our new kitty in the owner, and let our old one smell her to try and get used to in attendance being another cat in the place. It really didnt go down well- lots of hissing! we have to slowly introduce them but its taken months for them to get on. We were told to get another litter tray and another set of food bowls so respectively cat had their own so to avoid fighting. they may end up using like peas in a pod one anyway but you should give them the choice.
we have to breed sure we give each cat alike amount of attention -same amount of treats- they're just like having kids! they still hold the odd hissy fit at each other and chase each other round the house. they even swipe at respectively other sometimes but neither have ever been injured- not sure whether they're just play fighting.
at first we thought that we'd made a mistake cuz our original cat be so unhappy and even considered taking our second cat back to the rspca but they pleased us and told us that it was normal and would take time.
to cut a thoroughly long story short its dfinately been worth the effort. i wouldnt be without them and i chew over they'd miss each other now if they be separated. the best bits are when you find them curled up together on the sofa :) tho it doesnt happen very often! Good luck
we did the same thing, but kept them close in age. we get a 7 month old when our first one was a year old. only because we wanted them to play well together and not have one lose the other because of age.
google and read adjectives you can about introducing a new kitty to the house. get a moment litter box, and yes they will probably share both, but it keeps the nasty stuff down! we give respectively cat a separate dish but they eat at the same time. ours are friends who fight and chase but never approaching it if a door separates them. some never get along but i think they appreciate the company when the citizens are gone. good luck and have fun with it. it is really fun.
Actually older cats , a year plus.
Will not get along totally well because your house has been THEIRS for adjectives thier life and then all of a sudden someones comes contained by and takes it away from them to share. They really stress out with that. They can knob it if they were both kittens but older aged cats wont do terrifically well. I know this from experience because I have a 3 year old cat and two investigational kittens and he has NEVER got use to them. He hisses and it really stresses him out. I dont recommend it unless you want to go through weeks EVEN MONTHS of hissing, aggression and everything. Your choice though!
