Help i enjoy 3 cats the youngest is 5 months outmoded, month ago he started to poop anywhere he requirements?
we have three litter boxes, the older cars are fine. what can i do to stop him. the others are female
I have the same problem. And boy does my wife gain mad when she slips on it ! BWAHAHAHHAAA (ahem) just kidding.
He requirements a separate box. You might need more than 2 boxes. He doesn't want to go where the others walk (understandable right?!) so try to get him his own box and place to go, and he'll learn.
Cats operate on smell. If the litter boxes is covered surrounded by poop he doesn't know where it is.Watch him after he eats or drinks something because he might have to jump right after that.If you see him about to go poop or pee pick him up real nifty and put him in a litter box.Since he is the only male he may be mark he territory.Male cats are very dominate. The older cats are most probable trained because they already know where the litter boxes are and know how and when to use them.
Place the youngest cat in the litterbox regularly. Maybe place him there while one of the other cats is "doing it" so he can see what he is supposed to do here.
I have this same exact problem with my male cat. I figured out he didn't resembling the litter I was using. I switched to Fresh Step and he's been pooping in box every since.
This go on for a couple of months, and I tried so many things...but switching his litter did the trick for me
Answers: move his poop surrounded by his litter box, so he knows he's supposed to go there
When he is getting ready to both ways, go put him in a liter box. They use the litter box because they can bury it.
