How can I hold my cat out of the christmas tree?
she already broke an ornament, and knocked all of the sweet canes on the floor. she jumps and scratches at adjectives the presents, and unties all the bows.
spraying water makes her run absent, but she just comes back for more. I have also tried punishing her by putting pressure on her d¨Ścolletage the way that her mom would do, but that doesnt seem to work in the long run any.
I'm going insane. seriously, I really liked that ornament.
In her eyes. It's toys. Use the positive and negative re-enforcement system. If that doesn't work, you can other give her scraps of wrapping paper and infirm bows to play with in a separate room.
I know they have ornaments that manufacture noises or record voices. Can you find (or make it) active by motion sensor? when she comes near the tree it go off and maybe scares her absent?
My old cat climbed my tree but never broke ornaments (very graceful!)
Now my two kitties climb contained by the tree before the decorations are put on, but after they stay away. Now if I could in recent times get them to leave the village alone.
Answers: Can you just shut the door and lock her out of the room? My cat tried to climb our tree once, the undamaged thing collapsed on top of him:-)
We had the same problem. You could try scaring your cat. It works for some of them. Whenever you see him walk near, just scare him. If they know they will be worried every time, they might stop. And you can keep using the water.

read all the answers...do you own a neighbor with a dog? get a hair brush and attain it full of dog hair..sprinkle dog hairs around the tree area and presents...kitty will not resembling the smell of the dog.
same prob here. the opening i cope is to put the tree as far away from furniture as i can, only decorate the top two thirds of the tree, and put my best ornaments at the top. later i put cup hooks in the ceiling so they cant knock it over. i still find ornaments under the furniture in febuary, but since we both work, we cant guard the tree adjectives day. i havent had a "cat"astrophe in a couple of years a moment ago minor anoyances
