How do I obtain my kitten to stop biting?
My kitten is about 2 and a half months old, and when he get playful he bites, sometimes very gently and sometimes REALLY hard.
How do I variety him stop? I was thinking spraying him with water when he does it.
He's a cat and that's what they do!
Spraying your kitten beside water would probably work the best without upsetting it or getting it angry. but if it doesnt work after more than a month, later you might have to gently hold its mouth shut when it does, look it in the eye and utter 'no' very loudly. i had to do that with my kitten and it worked inside about 6 days.
I know that cats like to nibble on individuals when they are playful like that.
Just don't rub them in sensitive places and make certain not to hit your cat. They wouldn't understand and it wouldn't make the situation any better.
Just be patient. If this continues regard about getting them a hard food where it softens teeth because little kitty teeth can be amazingly uncomfortable on your flesh.

You just have to pop him while axiom NO. Kittens are like children...they need discipline. I wouldn't spray him with wet unless he really gets out of hand because he is still young plenty to learn.
Also...I wouldn't let anyone play with him really rough because consequently that confuses the kitten and he thinks it is ok.
Buy him some cat toys with some cat nip in it and play with your kitten and he should stop biting you, they are simply teething...Best of Luck :o)
I have have many kitties in my go. ONE THING realize what makes the kitten bite. One day they love tummy rub play and next hours of daylight they may not feel like a tummy rub play time. If you respect this they will not bite. Back off and bestow them alone when they start to bite. They will soon learn if they want to play they cant bite. Bottom line they cant settle, so if they don't like something, they bite. Take a mental note respectively time and move on to petting the head or ears if the tummy is not contained by play time at that moment.. GOOD LUCK

Answers: this is what I did and it totally worked and my vet thought it be genius. Ok... Kittens like to play with other kittens to memorize how to fight, hunt, etc... Sooo what you need to get is a stuffed kitten (like as contained by a stuffed animal toy) and when your kitten bites you when its playing with your hand replace your hand near the stuffed animal. Your kitten will love it! and take all of its aggression out on it. just maintain replacing the toy with your hand and then your Kitten will easily start attacking the toy instead of you. OH and make sure the stuffed kitten is around the same size as your kitten.

What i did with my kitten was sympathetic of flick him on the nose and say NO when he bit me. Now he hardly ever bites he single does when he is playing now but playfully not like I am going to eat you! But afterwards again he acts like a dog, he could have learn the play biting thing from my dog. He can sit and speak!
