How do I acquire my kitten to stop peeing surrounded by our bed?
My boyfriend just recently got me a kitten for my birthday present. He is 6 weeks older and was taken from his mother when we got him. They never told us if he have used the litter box before but as soon as we brought him home he used it to go poop he other goes poop in it but we both have never see him pee in it. Ever since we brought him home he has slept beside us in our bed (which was probably a bad belief I know) he is so little though so we didn't want him to be scared without anyone because he was used to person around people. So anyway, he has be peeing in our bed at night and sometimes in the morning when we are still surrounded by there. (But we have never caught him in the perform, there is always just a raining spot and it smells like urine.) It's almost like he holds it adjectives day and goes in our bed every hours of darkness. I really do not know what to do! My mother told me to put him in the bathroom at night with his litter box so he get used to it but I am afraid to because he is used to sleeping with us. Sorry so long! Any answers to this?
You need two litter boxes for starters..one for each cat plus one is the golden rule. Secondly, your mom is right, put the kitten in a room beside the box, the cat won't be lonely and your bed won't forever smell of cat urine. You are going to have to go get a urine smell remover from Pet Smart or Tractor Supply call Natures Miracle to get the smell out permanently or else the little one will verbs to go to the spot regardless of if it uses the box as well. Limit any and adjectives access to your bedroom for the time being until you get the cat box trained and the smell out of blankets, sheets, and mattress. Good Luck!
I've added nearly 2 tablespoons of water to my kittens wet food at feeding times when i'm domestic & can have my full attention on her. My kitten couldn't really store urinating for more then an hour & I put her in the box when the time come.It took a few tries but she got it.
I know your problem,
I have the same problem with my kitty when she was a babe-in-arms, although she wasnt peeing on the bed, she was peeing in the corner of the room. I asked my gran (who has 40 years of experience) what to do beside my kitty peeing on the carpet. I was told aswell that she was litter trained, but as he is only a baby, he needs to get used to his own wee house. I would propose that when he pee's on the bed, dont shout at him, just get a spare cloth and wipe the pee, then run to his litter tray and squeeze out his pee into the litter box then show him it, he'll soon notce that that his pee scent is where the pee is, and give him a wee treat, when he go into his litter box n he should pick it up no bother, keep doing it until he pick's it up. It wont take him long. I will say one point, keep his litter tray clean of poo, then he wont walk looking for other places to go to the toilet.
Good luck with your wee kitty, u'll have several happy, contents days and nights with the wee fella.
hope this help

Insert dog. :)
Keep putting him into the litter box, and sooner or later it will figure out where on earth to do it's dirty work.
tell him no
Answers: I have a 6 week old kitten immediately, and fortunately, he never had any problems figuring out how to use the box. Six weeks is really too young to be absent from momma cat (I found mine on the side of the road)... yours has to learn to use the litter box. They usually swot this from their mothers, so this is a special case. You have to step in and generate sure he gets to the litter box in time, which is really frozen to do when you don't have an eye on him at all times. Just know that he's going to try to go on the bed and hold the litter box nearby. As soon as he does his scratching and sniffing thing, snatch his little kitten butt and take him to the litter box and set him down in there. Repeat this as habitually as you need to. You're lucky you know he does it every night on the bed. It should make it easier to prevent it.
Best of luck, and formulate sure you're cleaning the spots where he goes very well; that way, he won't smell it and keep coming back.
Don't pull his tail thats mean. my kitten use to wee on my bed & what ive always done is rub near nose init because they know thats bad & put then into the litter tray & whether you can try to get the litter tray smelling of there wee. & close your bedroom door so it cant get within there. & keep putting him in the litter box move his paw for him to show him,(sounds foolish but works) or ask your vet. i think if you go to a pet store they can assist to. :)
Spray him with a water bottle.
When it pees yell at it and verbs its tail.
That should work
