How do I gain rid of the cat box smell? What do i do?

Ok so my cat box stays in my bathroom, i don't want it anywhere else in the apartment, and the bathroom is connected to my bedroom.(I have 2 neuter males) The Box i have is the Omega Paw Large Roll 'n Clean Litter Box, I use the clumping,no clay base litter, for multiple cats. I think its call Exquisicat or something. I also sprinkle the Cat box with the odor eliminating powder( Arm and Hammer and Tidy Cats) and they seem to work, partially of the time.

Then i leave for the day and come back and my room smells adjectives musky, and its the BOX!! I scoop it out every other day, and i clean the box every 3 weeks or so. i even put those nouns freshener buttons that stick to the lining of garbage cans, and below par stick them on the inside of the box. and it will work for a few days. But i need something more LONG TERM. I cant keep spraying aerosol cans, buying nouns fresheners, or lighting candles for the rest of my life.In dire need of help!

I really don't want to amendment litters again or get another new box, or even get rid of my boys, because the smell is that obnoxious and stressful.
When you are dealing with multiple cats in an apartment, you MUST scoop the litter box on a daily basis, if not twice a day. As another answerer said, some cats pee against the side of the box, and the smell gets into the plastic, so the box have to be cleaned more often.

I am not familiar with the Omega Paw litter box. I use a Rubbermaid glorious sided litter box. I have also found that you have to buy a new box every couple of years because of the scratch that get into the plastic and harbor odor.

Cats really don't like scented litter or products, so it may be better to use regular baking soda within your box.

If you have a cat that pees over the side of the box (I have one), you must clean the floor beneath the box. A handy way to prevent a mess from an "elevator butt" is to buy some of those puppy training pads and put them under the box. They will occupy all the pee, and you just throw them away.

You enjoy to scoop that box though. That is 95% of the battle.
You need to serving spoon at least every day - twice a day would be better. Change the litter every 2 weeks. I enjoy found that the brand of litter makes a big difference. I only use Fresh Step or Scoop Away and my 2 cat's pan never smells.
Answers:    My suggestion is to verbs the box more often than every 3 weeks. Start by cleaning it about every 10 days. I once had a cat that urinated on the walls of the box, I could adjust the litter often but the smell of urine from the side of the litter box would overpower the room. There was also sometimes where my cat would over-shoot the rim of the box and it would stir on the floor around the outside of the box. When you clean the box, be sure to verbs the floor underneath the box as well with a floor cleaner for pet stains (I recommend RESOLVE).
Get the cat baking soda from petstore or grocery store and spread in within the box!
Your answer is activated carbon. Much better than those volcanic rock and gel things. They aren't very expensive and work very well for a long time.
And, personally, I don't like those fragranced solutions and it seems no event what litter I've used, the smell is never really completely gone. After a recommendation from a cat litter shelter, I started using a product called innofresh pet odor absorber. It is an activated carbon odor absorber that I find really works great. I merely have a couple of these clipped onto the side of litter box and that's it. Very satisfied and no chemicals or irratiting fragrances that don't work anyway.
I generally buy from company on line at www.innofresh.com
I recommend this product.
The one suggestion I can make in the limits you have set is to use volcanic rock odor absorbers. But I do not believe that will be sufficient for your situation.

I've used the Omega rolling litter boxes - drastically handy. A disadvantage is that there is a comparatively small volume of litter. Am I understanding you right, thinking you have lone one box for two cats? If so, that will contribute to the problem. By choosing not to get another litter box (or two), you really are making it difficult, because one box really is not enough for two cats, especially when it single has a small space. It really is a good idea to enjoy one litter box per cat plus one - so it would be ideal if you could manage adding together another one or even two. That will help with the smell - a lot - because the urine will be distributed over a larger volume of litter. Baking soda can hold your attention some of the ammonia smell, but again, it can only do so much in a small volume. The problem with using nouns fresheners, is that instead of removing the ammonia from the air, they just add chemical scent to the toxic gas (no really, ammonia in gaseous form is toxic in high concentrations).

Also, whether you change your mind about switching litters and styles of litter boxes, I significantly recommend Feline Pine, as it has a nice fresh woodsy scent, and is very absorbent. As soon as it stops smelling similar to fresh cut wood, you change the litter, so there's just no odor problem (unless you procrastinate about varying it, or you don't put enough in the litter box in the first place.) Feline Pine does manufacture a clumping litter, so you could use that in the Omega rolling box, but with only one box for two cats, you still enjoy the same problem you started with - just not adequate litter to do the job.
