How do I gain my cat to stop hiding when I invite someone to my house?
My Cat is only comfortable with me being present, But as soon as she see's another human man, She hides under the blankets.
Is there anything I can do so she wouldn't be shy?
play with the cat more habitually
Try giving your guest a treat to offer to the cat. More than likely, your cat is severely accustomed to you and is iffy about new comers. You need her to gain the trust of other humans.
If she runs absent, don't chase after her to show her to your guest. It's better to leave her alone and she'll eventually decide to come to you. If you hold on to her against her will, she'll probably never want to meet company again.
Sometimes, though, cats newly never like new people. I've have a cat who ran and hid everytime someone new would come inside and you wouldn't see him again until they not here. Again, don't try to force her, just hope that she'll come out on her own. If not, maybe she'd just appreciate have your company over other peoples. Think of it as a sign she feels comfortable around you and loves you. :]
Answers: You could other pull her out of hiding and hold her and try to calm her down a bit.
Get her use to company,or just walk out her be.
She might get tired of hiding and will come out eventually.
You don't. If your cat doesn't like to be around unfamiliar nation, you shouldn't try to make her stay around unfamiliar people. (Not that you can precisely make a cat do anything, anyway.)
Every cat is different, and some are just more social than others. I have five. One won't come out from beneath the bed when company is over. Two stay in my bedroom, but won't leave the room. One is pretty indifferent and goes just about her normal business. The fifth is a social butterfly and will ham it up for anyone who comes surrounded by the door. Let her be herself. She may warm up eventually, but please don't push her. If you try to force her to be sociable with guests, it may only stress her even more. She'll be fine... even whether she never warms up to guests.
Just offer her time, dont force her out, it's understandable that you want to show her off but she will come out on her own time.
Not really. If she sees impossible to tell apart person many times in a short length of time she may stay in the room. But once a cat makes up it's mind beside who she is comfortable with, there is no changing it.
Let it hide. Whats the problem?
