How do I stop my cat from anyone so affectionate?

I mean.. dont get me wrong, i love it that he loves being affectionate but at times he get ridiculous! Like i can't do school work, i cant do anything really because he just want to be on top of my and/or what ever im working on. I tried using a spray bottle, but even that doesn't come across to phase him, i push him off me several times and that doesn't work either... i dont know what to do!
I enjoy a 9 week old bottle fed kitten that i got from a rescue group a couple of weeks ago. Since he be bottle fed he had lots and lots of human contact from the wonderful lady who fostered him. Because of adjectives of that contact he needs a lot now, or think he does. That being said, I wouldn't try to punish this behavior. There are a few different things you can try: give him attention and play before you sit down to do your work. You can shut him out of the room while you are working (keep surrounded by mind your kitty's temperament some don't respond well to closed doors) do you feed him raining food? If you do you may be able give him some right before you sit down to work and see whether a full belly might make him sleepy enough that he won't bother you. Also whether he lays on your book while you are trying to use it, you can try to give him his own book.
Cats who are markedly affectionate need that time. Try to set aside about 10 minutes of play time when you get domestic so that he/she can be reassured of your love and then feed a treat or contribute a toy that will distract him/her afterward. If you cat gets into a routine he may just leave you alone after he is "full" from his designated time. If your cat STILL requests more time and affection the first option to seperate yourself may do the trick just during times when you need to be alone.
Mine does that too. Just love on him for for a while while and then if he keeps on, put him contained by another room. He will be ok for a while as you get some things done. They just love to be loved sometimes.
Don't spray him.he's not being bad, he of late wants some "lovin".

STOP what you're doing and play with him for awhile. He's been alone adjectives day while you were at school, and he NEEDS some attention. Sit on the floor, supply him some hugs and maybe a treat, then when HE's tired of being beside you, you can go back to your school work.

When my cats do this, I pick them up, hold them on their back, like babies (which they don't like), then when they squirm to get absent, I put them down. A few of these "episodes", and they'll usually leave me alone for awhile. When they come back, I set them on the form NEXT to my leg, so they think they've "won", and are happy to lie near quietly!

Hope this works for you...Good luck.
get him a pet. his own little kitten to keep him busy.
He's doing it for attention and getting it weather good or bad from you. Just play beside him while doing what you want to do. Roll up a bit of paper throw it across the room and he will play with it. While your of doing what you need to do.
enjoy it. or get a hamster instead.

start working on a blank piece of article, then, when he sits on it, move over to your home work. cats cat read. just hang on to checking back on the paper he is on and petting him. if he moves to your homwork, move rear legs to the blank piece untill he moves over.
he loves you and wants your attention.

everytime i get newspaper out to oil lamp my woodstove, mine lays on it. so, i get two piles.
Aww..sweet cat. One solution would be to put him in a different room than you are and shut your door while you are doing something exalted.
Answers:    You should be so happy that he loves you so much. Both my cats do indistinguishable an I love it. No matter what type of day you've had they want to show you some love.
