How to get hold of cats to stop war?
I came home and my two cats were hissing and growling at respectively other. There was cat hair everywhere and food was knock over. One is 4 years old (female) and the other is 2 years old (male). We have have them together for 2 years and they would occasionally play-fight. But, this is serious. They are fighting viciously every time they see each other.

Just a guess, but the younger one may be trying to become the dominant cat within the house. The older cat has probably held this position until now. If i.e. the case, then this will probably sort itself out in awhile. When the chain of command was understood by both, there be no need to fight. Once it is settled the fighting will stop.

My cat use to other bite you when you went down the stairs or would jump on the bed so I kept a spray bottle and whenever she did something I didn't like I'd spray her and she'd stop. After a while she well-read that she couldn't do that and hasn't since.

Answers: Get them both fixed.
Check with your nouns humane society if you can have them fixed there. Might be smaller number costly... unless you want to take them to the vet which will = big $$$.
Of coarse if they're your babies, you don' t mind paying the $$$$.
