I own 2 masculine indoor cats, how do I fashion certain they procure along near centre of population cats?
They keep getting visits by a cat (not sure whether its male or female) and they have taken to growling and hissing at each other through chalice.
Can they ever get along and be friends?
Or, do cats never get along with cats they dont know?
male cats are very territorial.
Cats will be cats.
Male cats (are yours neuter?)
will hiss and spit ... mine is 15 and still does it to the unaltered male that lives in the neighborhood (or anyone else for that matter)
but it is mostly noise.
though within has been some fights.
I own seen Some cats be friends...but not often.
Answers: It's an issue of domain - your cats are viewing the visiting cat as an intruder. It's best to discourage the cat from coming up to yours. As long as there is glass between them, they can't spread diseases, but your cats may settle on to spray and mark their territory if they quality threatened by the other cat or cats. Some cats will spray if they feel threatened, neutered or not.
They should learn to get along next to each other, my two cats are now great friends with a neighbour cat that they used to argument with.
I dont think theres anything you can do, cats are cats and resembling who they like.
