I LOST MY CAT plz administer me some proposal?
i have a indoor cat that is a year and 4months old and he run away on friday, well he has run away like 7times but always comes subsidise but im just worried because of the cold weather in chicago. IM JUST WORRIED SO MUCH and could cats survive in cold weather and be do u think i can try to look for him, i live in a calm neighborhood plz impart me some advice!! he ran away on friday surrounded by the afternoon
put up missing posters next to rewards on them and go to your local poloce station and leave pictures, posters and a report on your cat. i lost my dog once and i live in a hugely big town but we did find her after a couple of days, someone had taken her in. you might find her or you might not but the best of luck to you!!
Wow, I'm sorry that your cat keeps running away. the weather isn't terribly cold however, and he should be ok. I do suggest that you take the cat to the vet to get micro chipped. This route if someone does find him and brings him to a shelter, they will be able to notify you a lot quicker.
I would also propose that you research a bit about why your cat may be running out of the house. Maybe he wants to be an outdoor cat? I do understand the worries that may effect you though. I personally have an indoor cat and I would hate to lose her.
If at adjectives possible, i would talk to the vet, or a vet tech. about what you could do in this situation. Maybe even the ASPCA might hold a few suggestions.
Cats usually have their own stomping ground, their own territories. It is plausible that he's in the same area as past when he ran off on you. As for searching for him, it may be a polite idea, but I wouldn't be worried about the cold weather as of yet.
It's not below freezing, and I did grow up near a cat that lived outdoors and indoors and he would stay outside for most of the time until it got very cold. (i'm within canada - well below freezing)
You can put up posters of the cat, talk with shelters contained by the area to see if someone has found him - and that you are on the lookout for him.
I hope you find your cat soon!
Bloodhound dogs can track scents for miles.
he should be ok, cats are very resilient and can purloin care of themselves. do you have pet insurance? my insurance provides help next to finding my kitty's if they were to get lost, eg covering the cost of posters, checking adjectives the shelters in the area etc
good luck, hope he comes domestic soon.
ps in case you havent done these for when he gets domestic, its a good idea to put address and telephone number on his collar, and take him microchipped
i have a 15 year old that used to donate for weeks at a time in the winter, now that she is getting old, she individual leaves for days at a time in the winter.
i have seen her lay in the snow like she is sun bathing.
cats dont go far, conceivably a mile. just look around for her.
If it's a tom cat, then it have just gone to look for a lady friend for some fun, same with the females, they run off for a bit of fun too. Its not unusual for cats to be away for a few weeks, and don't verbs about the cold, they cann cope quite well and will find some where on earth warm.
look for him.?
Make "LOST" signs and put them everywhere. I don't mean, use a ball point pen on 8.5x11 article, I mean make signs out of poster boards, crayons and color photos (xeroxed or not). Sometimes paint sticks are free and you can glue those to the stern of your poster so it doesn't bend in the wind.
Doing this shows people how serious you are almost finding your precious cat. People might be more inclined to find your cat because they see what did to try and find him.
Good luck because I know how much this hurts.
He'll come home or someone will call...
OK it's ok, my cat ran away to. newly keep picturinghim in a nice warm place. put posters up adjectives around the neighbor hood. and ALWAYS ask people if they have see him.it really helps. try to look in places that are kind of unobserved. they can surive in cold weather.
sounds a lot close to my cat..
he ran away quite a bit 2 years ago.
and he be about 7 years old.
he ran absent in december in the coldest days, and didnt come back for 25 days. my cat is super flab though so i think thats how he managed to survivie..
if your worried try making posters, or perhaps go around asking.
best of luck.
What you inevitability to do is put up missing posters around your area, and maby further. Cats can probably survive in the cold weather, because have a sneaking suspicion that about all the strays that live outside, and they still survive. Look within bushes, hedges, behind things and put some food outside contained by case he is still around but doesn't want to come in the house for a bit, as sometimes they will do that.
Ask your neighbors if they have see him to start. He may be scared too, so walk around the neighborhood and call her dub and listen for any little signs. Mine was in a tree because she was panicky. Thank god she finally came down cause she was too far up for me to gain her.
I hope this helps.
Is he neutered? If not, he is going to go on running absent to look for lady cats and produce kittens that may never have homes. When you do find him- I hope you do- call a vet and arrange the procedure. If money is an issue, the local animal shelter may be capable of refer you to a free or low-cost spay/neuter program. Some areas have them.
Calm it,he/she will probably come back and maybe(in this cold weather)just went through another cat flap and stayed within that house for a while
Start looking for him
Don't take this wrong, but you should be out looking for him, not typing on the computer.good luck
Answers: It's not cold enough yet to hurt him. He will show up when he is ready to come domestic. Cats are survivors.
posters up around your nouns?
look for him?
not being rude but being on the computer wont abet
They will always come running home if they are cold or hungry, until afterwards (unless unforseen circumstances, accident, or trapped) don`t worry they do have fur coats, and do guzzle unfortunately mice. Have been know to be away for at lowest possible a week or two, then roams in as if zilch has happened.
Meantime just consent to people you know about the loss.
Ask all your neighbours to check their sheds or garages.
When indoor cats stray - they usually head downhill. If you live on a mound, check down the road first.
Check up trees - he could be stuck up one and unable to get down. It happened to one of mine.
Check lower than hedges - he could have been hit by a saloon and is too injured to make it back home.
Pin flyers to any wooden posts hype his loss and give a description.
Check with local Vets and leave a become aware of about your lost cat with them.
Check and inform any local pet rescue organisations
If you have a local store which will adopt notices, put one up in there.
Get external and keep calling him - rattle his food bowl.
If he comes back, school him to come to you whistling the way people whistle dogs. Whenever you are more or less to put out some food, whistle.
Whistling carries further than calling, so if he goes lost again, he is more likely to hear you and will know that it means food.
