Yeah. Thats how animals and population get colds. That's why I keep yelling at my BF to stop turning the boil off, the cats are getting the sniffles and I'm getting a sore throat.
If the cat requirements to go outside, you can let it, but I wouldn't agree to it out at a time that wouldn't allow you to let it back in after roughly speaking half an hour or so - which is probably the point at which (in cold weather) it would want back in.
Answers: I've never PUT my cat outside, but when he goes from the heat house and outside, I imagine it's like us going from our bed to walking first thing in the morning; not very pleasant, but not perilous. He also randomly sleeps in the conservatory, which is FREEZING- I know he's really cold when he uses his tail to cover his nose!
Our cat loves the cold. She spends hours out in the snow hunting mice. She likes to burrow surrounded by the snow and ambush the dog too.
