Is my cat afraid of the litter box?
I have had my cat for about a year in a minute. In the beginning she was going to the bathroom around the house and we had the litter box surrounded by the basement. Then she was trained and using the litter box along with going to the bathroom out side. I not long went in the basement and found pee and poop adjectives over the back room of the basement. I also have another cat who is greatly bigger and older then the cat going to the bathroom and then don't resembling each other. I don't know if that is any sector of the problem or not. As I was cleaning up the basement I saw my cat down there too. I picked her up and tried putting her within the litter box to show her that is where she needs to turn to the bathroom. As I tried putting her down she would not let go and leaped out of my arms in another direction. I tried this within another litter box in the basement and she did the same entry. Please help.
Maybe you should try separating the cats as best you can.
Put the cats litter box contained by the place it tends to do it's business the most. If I were you I would win a new litter box and find a way to tag it as hers so that she could use it. Then you'd hold to have the inconvenience of a litter box each, but they'd probably use it
Answers: put the cat's poop in the litter box. it'll catch on eventually
Do the cats have separate litter boxes? You should hold at least two. And are their food/water bowls anywhere near the box? They shouldn't be.
Another thing I want to ask is own you recently changed the food you are feeding this cat? I tried changing my cat's food to a better element food and she gobbled it up just fine, but she wasn't pleased with something when it come out the other end of her! For a while she used the litter box but jumped out of it so quickly that sometimes she wasn't even done doing her commerce. I would find nuggets and drips on the floor in front of the box! Then after a while she would only pee within the box and she started pooing in the living room, then she wouldn't do anything in the box at adjectives! I was getting so angry at her! I tried putting her in the box and she seemed so afraid of it - she wouldn't even put her foot in the litter. So, stupid me, switched litter thinking that was the problem. But it didn't comfort. I remembered that I switched her food a while back, so I switched her back to the cheap cat food she had previously and approaching magic she started using her box again!
Sorry for that long story! I just wanted to recount you that in case you may have duplicate situation going on! Good luck - litter box problems are stressful!
