Is my cat OK? He ate some red pepper and is acting different, should I verbs?
My cat ate some red pepper two nights ago, and he's not showing any signs of acute toxicity, but he's been sluggish and a little moody since afterwards. He does still play on occasion, but it seems like he is sleeping a great deal more than before he ate it. Does anyone know how long I would need to worry something like him being poisoned, and if it's serious enough for him to necessitate to see a vet?
Um...I think we adjectives act weird after eating red pepper...
That be a poop joke.
That isn't something that cats are typically allergic to. Not that I can find anyway.
Anytime you are concerned contact your local poison control immediately.
http://www.aapcc.org/DNN/ Here is a relationship for poison control.
They answer questions about animals too. Ex: My cat Jake at a glowstick once and was foaming green goo out of his mouth. I call poison control and they assured me that I had nothing worry going on for. And sure enough, he was fine the subsequent day.
Answers: if he is vomiting on his own a lot then yes you call for to take him to the vet. or you can get some cat grass at walmart this might make him vomit and might engender him feel better. if he doesn't start to act usual you may want to take him to the vet and get checked out.
below is a list of what is toxic to cats so make sure you keep your kitty absent from them all.
Take him to the vet.
UGGH! Take him to the vet please! No offense but you've waited too long already if he's be acting funny after you know he ingested something out of the ordinary. I don't mean to sound discordant, I just know that cats hide illness outstandingly well, and a lot of times things are let stir for too long, and by the time they are seen by a vet it's a lot more serious that it could have be. Just please take him to the vet. Better safe than sorry!! Good Luck! =)
