I've be reading give or take a few Borax one great for bloodbath fleas...I also read that it is disposable contained by river... ?
Would it be a good idea or bad conception to add it to my cat's bath to kill the fleas that are on him? Is it toxic to him! i really want to find rid of the fleas and soothe him as much as possible...What should I do? After all it is used in soaps anyway...
Answers: Borax is not a solution to fleas. To properly (and safely) treat fleas, you entail to use a topical treatment such as Frontline, Revolution, or Advantage. These will kill the fleas AND prevent them, which is a huge part in treating the root problem. Vacuum your house thoroughly, this will serve too. Carpet, mattresses, furniture, under cushions and in cracks. Everywhere. Don't be fooled into thinking the over-the-counter stuff works. They are ineffective and unsafe.
Don't use Borax to bathe your cat, as it's toxic. Instead, use resourceful Dawn dishwashing soap, but diluted a bit. Avoid the eyes, and comb out all the dead fleas when you're done bathing him. Good luck!
