Just found a stray white cat what do i do?

I have posted him in the local newspaper and online. I bought a small box of catfood and mixed it near some eggs. He is a very friendly and non skittish cat. Hes sleeping on my lap as I type. I am working on getting some stuff, just til he finds a domestic. But what can I expect from a street cat? He has no fleas or anything. But yea... any advice?
sounds like the cat is house broken or at tiniest been around a lot of people.

I can't backing with much else only cats I know are the ones I have, and they are pretty silly (think they can be pet through glass, they bang their head on the chalice to get your attention then rub against it like 'pet me')
I would also contact your local shelters see whether anyone is looking for a missing cat also if you have no intention of keeping the cat you can spawn arrangements to bring him in otherwise depending on where you live the cat will be considered yours and you will have to retribution the surrender fee. As far as behavior expect anything and everything because you have no history. He may have fears that you wont know until he encounter them in your home. I would expect loose poop because of dietary change and stress. Otherwise from what you say-so I wouldn't worry about him he seems friendly and content.
Answers:    KEEP HIM INSIDE! Cats outside are exposed to the danger of being killed in the most horrible attitude imaginable, by dog attacks and hit by cars. Plus, indoor cats live many years longer, and are healthier than external cats. Most diseases are spread by outside cats!

Very first thing you need to do is capture a litter box, put some litter in it, then put kitty in it and sympathetically take his paw and make scratching movements. Don't force it - newly very matter-of-factly.

Cats take to litter boxes naturally, because it simulates how they "go" external - in sandy areas.

I agree with other posters - he should have a trip to the vet to see whether he's been microchipped and belongs to someone else.

If he isn't neutered, you MUST have that done.

If you opt to keep the kitty, he'll need to have some toys, a scratch post, and maybe a nice "window seat" which you can buy for about 15 bucks and install beneath a nice sunny window in your house!

And God Bless You for taking in a stray!!

P.S. Uh... are you discussion about RAW eggs?

I don't think you're supposed to feed them RAW eggs!
well if yall carry any more attached i suggest you to keep him/her. it seems that the cat have already gotten used to you. It would be a good idea for you to take him to the veterinarians of late to be on the safe side. You never know what internal problems it might have. Well i don't think you should expect anything but love from him/her since your apt to the cat. i think the cat will be good to you back!
proposal? he has adopted you, stop trying to find him a home.

he is not a street cat, he is an discarded pet. or maybe lost. he is too comfortable with you to have be living on street very long. he is used to living with humans.

see a vet, he probably ate garbage and in a minute needs to be dewormed. vet will check for an ID chip.

i would stop the eggs, unless they vet says it is ok, i have never hear of it before.
If you have a spare 80$ you may want to take it to the vet , newly to make sure it does not have the Plauge.

But surrounded by general cats cannot pass diseases to humans. Some exceptions are Cat Scratch Fever (which happens whether he scratches you)
and ringworm (which you get if he is really really dirty)
both of my cats were strays. i came domestic and found 3 kittens. i took them to the vet and got them checked out. they all had flees i get that taken care of but they were too little and the shelters would not take them. i afterwards after having fixed the flee problem got them neutered and fell contained by love with them. a friend took one and i kept two. they are very good pets and self sufficient.
You've done the right thing, I got followed home by a ginger kitten once which I call 'Little Man' I put ad's in the corner shop and local press and the owners got him 3 days later. I doubt he/she have fleas, make sure he doesn't re-escape. Keep him fed and melt and try not to get to emotionally attached.
A cat that friendly probably have a home somewhere and is just lost. Look for lost cat posters around town or at the local vet's office or ask your neighbors whether they know anyone with a white cat. Try and see if he is neutered. (his interview. will be really small if he is) If he is then it's pretty much guaranteed he has an owner. People entail to collar and tag their cats... sheesh.
that is where I have gotten adjectives my cats and they make great pets.
One little pregnant mother cat was so pitiful and drowning in the rainfall.
You could feel her bones. I started feeding her and made friends with her and afterwards she came inside. After she had a batch of kittens I help her to raise and adopted out. I got her fixed.
Now she is this cooking oil healthy loving little bundle of fur.
Try to take a picture of him and making papers that says "Found Cat" and show a picture of it and put it up around your neighborhood and at stores. If not a soul claims him in two weeks keep him.He probably is not a street cat,Because he had no fleas. But dutiful luck on finding his owner..
If you settle on not to keep him, please research local shelters and make sure you bring him to one that is to say a no-kill. If they are full ask to be put on a waiting list and foster the little guy for a while so he gets a chance to own a long happy life =)
well if no one claims him surrounded by a week or so, and you don't want to keep him then i suppose give him to the shelter.
Keep it.
Take it to the pound.
Find a friend to pilfer it.
Give it to your grandma because she already has 6 whats one more.
sell it.
Take it to a pet store.
ask adjectives your friends.
get rid of it and get a dog- My favorite, sorry just not a cat guy

i WOULD PUT a collar on him with a data "does this cat have a home?"
He will go domestic eventually and they will know he is cheating on them.

I had one cat that I had to put a collar on that said "DO NOT FEED... she HAS A HOME!"
We took within a feral cat and it turned out to be a wonderful companion for many years.

I would reccommend taking it to vet for a physical and though. Including blood tests, it should not cost more than $100
watch is interesting video till the train. i bet you never saw this before

If not a soul claims him, then I guess he's yours to keep, or if you don't want him, you should give somebody a lift him to the animal shelter. Take him to the vet to get a check up, just to make certain nothing is wrong. Most stray cats that I've come across have been thoroughly friendly, but you should still keep an eye on him just in crust. But if it was me, I would keep him. Just my view. :)
a moment ago treat him well so you know he is good around human company and all will be in good health..and keep him fed but thats just adjectives sense lol
If you are planning to keep him, you should absolutely take him to the vet, just to make certain he's healthy and clean. After that, well, merely keep him fed, watered, and loved...what more could a kitty hope for?
sounds approaching he might not be a stray since he's so friendly and doesn't have fleas...did you post a "found" ad?
take it to a vet and see if its be microchipped to find the owners details, also the vet will check if its been hurt or got fleas or anything x
Give it to the shelter.
