My cat butch is not so butch very soon as he is 18 and a 1/2?

years and he is on medication for over active thyroid as he cant hold his weight with this condition,and is never full what is the best cat food which would suit this condition vitamin astute and would fill him up no dry food answers please
You should really discuss this with your vet who put him on the medication.

I have a 22 year frail cat that is also on thyroid medication. I noticed a few months ago that she was other hungry, sometimes within an hour of feeding her, and she was losing cargo. I took her back to the vet and he rechecked her thyroid and said that she needed a higher dose of the thyroid medicine. My vet said that this is not strange and that I should have her thyroid checked at least once a year. With the higher does of prescription she is full and happy. So I think possibly your cat will need his thyroid rechecked and a complex dose of medicine.

As for diet, you didn't say what you be feeding him. If he is on dry food, take him off of it ASAP! Dry cat food is zilch but CRAP.

Switch him to a grain free canned food like Wellness, Innovoa EV0, and Fancy Feast. Some society don't like Fancy Feast because it has by-products in it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a good moderately priced cat food.

Make sure doesn`t matter what you feed him is grain free-that means no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, soybean suppertime, corn gluten, or rice. Cats can not digest carbs.
