My cat run absent?she loved us so much.?
i had her since a baby, she is like 7 years behind the times, still looks like a baby,we love her and she adores me.kisses me sleeps underblamket beside me and hugs me.she is spoiled by me .she usually tries to run out when door is opened.and i let her for a minute or two or whether im out she sits with me.but she is territorial.shell chase a cat that comes around us.today i didnt notice when i open door .she escaped usually shell come running in when i i almost close door.while contained by hous ei nirticed she was gone.callin her so we checked outside my son seen her near another cat i dontthin she is in heat.but then after she still hasnt come domestic.will she ever come back i put out food.food was gone but im sure it wasnt her she would cry at door.im worried she is gone.is there a good chance she will return we search block for her.and called her name out all nite.what should i do.im unfortunate and heartbroken she is our baby in the house we love her and she know it we show alot to her alot of love.gimmie advice please..she is an indoor cat but loves outside.will she find her way domestic if lost?
I have a kitten and I had her for approximately 2 weeks and she got outside. I was worried that since she have only been with us a little she would have no idea how to get put a bet on home if she even wanted to. I put up signs in the order of 2 days after she went missing, all around my neighborhood surrounded by stores, etc and a few hours after I got home from doing that she was at my door meowing. Cats are smart and whether your cat hasn't been hurt or anything else more serious she will smell her way home. I would still put up signs and stuff of late for peace of mind but I wouldn't worry too much unless it's been at lowest a week.
If she's in heat, you should afford her a little time, my cat ran after another cat when i first got her, and i basically knew i would never see her again, because she had only be with me for about three week at the most, take some of her used cat litter, and put surrounded by out side of your door, she'll smell it and know where to come..
Answers: These pages seem to own some very good ideas:

http://www.petrescue.com/library/find-pe...
http://www.missingpet.net/advice/index.h...
http://cats.about.com/cs/lostandfound/a/...

They're similar but not quite the same. Print them adjectives out and start doing everything, checking the items off - do everything.
Go out looking tonight - cats are nocturnal. Bring a good flashlight and her favorite food. Call her often - she know your voice.
I especially like the idea of departing the (uncleaned) pan outside. Do the same near unwashed pieces of your clothing, favorite pet bedding, etc. Cats are very dependent on their sense of smell.
Which reminds me of another idea I saw on another page that I can't find now: Walk at smallest two blocks away from your house. Take off your shoes and socks (yes, I know, it's cold this time of year) and walk subsidise to your door. Repeat, this time walking out in other directions, What you are trying to do is leave scent trails - your cat knows your scent powerfully and this may let her find her way home. Repeat every two days or so to animate the trails. If you just can't stand the cold you might try it with socks you've worn for the whole daytime. maybe wear oversized socks to scent them up and then put them *over* your shoes when leaving the trail whether it's really cold. Just be sure the socks are well "scented' by you first.
Oh! Here it is - it's an old Usenet posting. Search down this page for "finding a lost cat": http://www.faqs.org/faqs/cats-faq/outsid...
Cats who suddenly find themselves surrounded by a strange place (outdoors, farther from your front door than she's been before) are usually easily frightened. And when startled they bolt for a gap or something that looks safe, and then stay there for moderately a while. Look near your place for anyplace a cat might run for when scared, and remember that they like to climb.
Good luck. I know how you quality.
Update: Oh, that's so wonderful! Thank you for posting the good news - it makes adjectives of us feel better to know you found her. Hug your kitty :)
Mine other came home.Get her fixed will help some within the future.
I hate to be the negative party here but if she is an inside cat.. chances are she doesn't know certain things that external cats would know...such as finding food, finding her way home, fighting beside other cats and dogs and worst of all...traffic. put up signs at the local stores and gas stations and call your local vets and move about there and put up signs,if i found a cat and didn't see any signs,id run the cat to my vets.
She might be back, but there is a chance she made her course into someone else's house, and if they see how sweet she is, they may try to keep her. Don't give up hope, I once found a cat that have run off from our house two years after. He was just walking down a trail where on earth my kids and I were out walking a mile from our house. Cats are strange sometimes, and can get independent streaks, so she may be out exploring or hunting. I hope she comes back not detrimental, good luck to you on that!
i kept a cat since she was small too..at first, she went external for a while..and then 2-3 days..and then 1-2 weeks..i think she preferred to stay external..can't force her to stay with us, though..hehe..but we're still searching for her..may u find yours too..good luck :)
If you can, leave the door cracked open for her so she can come rear in. I hope she is able to find her way. Also phone up the local shelters and animal control in case someone picked her up, also check back for the subsequent few days if you don't find her. If you don't find her by tomorrow morning, put signs up all round and maybe attach a reward proposition so people will be likely to look for her. Good luck, I am sure you must be so down in the mouth. I will say a lil prayer for her and hopefully she will be back home soon!
