My kitten may want surgery and I cant afford it?

My 5 month old kitten loves to eat strings, and I have tried to cut stale any string he could eat or hide it from him but I guess I didn't do the best job. The ancient week he has had diarrhea and vomited a couple nights ago and nearby was string in his vomit. I took him to the vet and they said they felt a mass underneath his ribs and that they would need to take x-rays to see if it's a foreign point. If there is blockage inside of him he would need surgery, I am a full time college student and cannot afford surgery but this kitten is my life and I want to do everything I can for him so he can be hygienic. If anyone has suggestions on who can help me financially that would be great. Thanks
fundraise. i know how helpless you must be sense. sell stuff you dont want, like china dolls to an antique store.
it'll be worth it to see your kitten healthy again.
i choice you all the best.
i hope your kitty gets better soon.
If you be in motion in and discuss it with the veterinary office sometimes they can work out fee options with you so your animal can get the aid it needs. You can also try talking to other veterinary offices to see whether anyone else can give you help in the nouns department. Just please do your best to get your kitten the help it needs.
You can TRY to find a rescue group who will help... but they mostly only help for spay/ spay.

Put a jar at a local liquor store etc.

SPCA has low cost vet care.

MAKE SOME pay arrangements near the local vets...

What are the strings made of? If you can get your cat to eat papya it will desolve any NATURAL fibers.

obedient luck.
Most will tell you to have the kitten put down... but IF YOU CAN FIND someone to help consequently good.

P.S. good idea>>>Have your mom do a garage sale for your kitty... or market some stuff on e-bay/ craigs list... it will be worth it to save your kitty.
Everyone here is giving great answers!

In addition, I'd similar to to add that when you kitty is better (and he WILL get better!) you should look into getting pet insurance. I have insurance through ShelterCare (see relationship below), through which you can get head-to-toe vet cost coverage for about $12 a month for indoor cats. For instance, with the bag of your kitty the deductible would be $50 and it covers up to $2000 in bills associated with a foreign object ingestion. The folks at hand are super nice and the insurance is totally worth every penny!!
A year or so ago our dog got hit by a sports car, he's ok, but the vet bills for his xrays and overnight stay was way too much for us to pay adjectives at once. Our vet offered a solution. It's called care one credit, it's like a credit card for doctor bills. The accurate news is you can use it for yourself as well as your pet, the not so bad communication is you need to find a provider that uses the services, but if you go on the net page they have a search engine that can help you find a local department. It's a great solution and the monthly payments of very reasonable with low apr. Hope this help
call your local shelter ask whether they have any programs that help fund such things. ours does. they helped me when i be given a puppy with red mange.

if they dont have any kindly of programs and you can't borrow any money from anyone, call several vets. see if they can work out a gift plan w/ you.

or try to sell something FAST on craigs list?

if adjectives else fails, you should surrender your kitty, that way the shelter will bring him to a vet to be treated and then adopt out.

good luck with your kitty...
Answers:    This is such an awfull thing!

try attention to detail credit... they can help you get the amount you need to get hold of the surgery done.

We ended up going with a loan through our bank when we have an unexpected $800.00 vet bill... it was cheaper for us.

good luck
