My Kitten Won't Eat Or Drink?

I bought a kitten yesterday off her previous owners, she is 13 weeks old and we be told she likes all food. But she just wont get through or drink and she hasn't even used her litter tray she just keeps hiding, is there besides i can get her to eat as i'm really worried about her.
It's be 19 hours since we got her and i don't know how long ago she ate.
Please help.

try soft food & smash it down on a plate or in the bowl & the water may be to low or to cold.
My first guess is to say that she is adjusting to her clean home and hiding and/or not eating is a normal response. Try putting the litterbox surrounded by the room she is hiding in along with food and water and label sure she sees it and knows where on earth it is. I'll bet that the kitty will venture out on her own. Also, you might try going into the room where she is hiding and pick her up and reassure her and love her and talk meekly to her. If she doesnt come out in a couple days or so I'd call your vet and let them know whats going on. Best Wishes!!
Answers:    It's possible that she's just adjust to her new home. But, I do think she desires to see a vet. A young kitten can go downhill very smartly.

good luck!
I think she is lost her previouse family. Your house is a new place for her. she is just upset and now trying to get familiar next to the new enviroment. I would suggest that first you should keep her contained by a cosy room and leave the food and water there at adjectives times till the ur kitten gets used to you and ur place. You should try picking her up. hold her gently. love her, comfort her. Show your spanking new baby that you care. It may take her a few weeks back she is warmed up to you. But don't give up. best of luck!
The first sign that something is wrong next to your cat/kitten is loss of appetite. You really should get her to the vet as soon as possible. Kittens are so small that if something is wrong with her, she will travel downhill really fast. It might just be that she's scared, but I doubt it. Be undamaging and have her checked out.

Good luck!
rest assured that she will be fine. when i get my kitten , she did the same thing. just construct sure food is always out for her . eventually she will get hungry and come out. it can pocket days for her teat regular. she is just scared and in a unknown enviroment. i dont blaim you for worrying. i did the same thing. it was 5 days formerly i even saw my kitty eat. but she eventually did and now iloved to eat & entreat for food . she will wake up from a dead sleep if she hear anything in the kitchen so yes give your new kid time. let her hide until she is ready to come out! she will come out . it may steal her a few weeks before she is warmed up to you. that is how mine be. i thought they were suppose to love you automatically but that isnt the case always. best of luck!
When our kittens come out of the vet after surgery, we were recommended to feed them boiled white fish mixed with rice. I be skeptical, but they both went nuts for it.
The kitten is adjusting to new environment, choose a warm quiet small room for the kitten to adjust to, then work from in that.
I agree with other comments though, if you do not get any elation after a couple of hours of quiet environment. The vet is the next step.
Good luck!
It needs some time to be adjusted to its unusual environment.Try to feed it yourself because a cat can not be left more than two days without food.Give it chicken or fish. The moment day it is left without food ask a vet because cats gone 2 days without food present metabolism disorder
Dont worry in the order of this. It happens to most animals when they are moved to another home. Just keep disappearing her food and water where it is and let her carry it in her own time. She will be fine. As for the litter tray, pick her up and put her paws in the tray so she know where it is. Give it a week and she will be back to normal.
tender her time. if she's not up to date on shots, then have her surrounded by to the vet's anyway, but she is likely just adjust to her new home.
My cat would eat herself to death whether I let her, so I can't help you there, but she wasn't drinking satisfactory, so the vet told me to get a cat drinking fountain. The best one is the drinkwell platinum. It's a bit pricey, but she does drink a lot more now.
Yea maybe she is just adjusting, domestic sick? She needs time to warm up to you. If after awhile she still is not eating and drinking I would guidance a vets opinion=]
Try smelly food such as tuna. Leave it and some water surrounded by the room just with her in and see whether she touches it. If not see vet ASAP
