Shipping a cat across the country?
I moved to the east coast a year ago and left my beloved kitty with a trusted friend. Now that my life is more or smaller quantity in order again I want to get my cat wager on. I can't afford plane fare to go get him. What are my most affordable alternatives?
Mermelia gave excellent advice. A move a block absent is very stressful for cats. A trip across the country is not recommended. Extreme stress like that can trigger vicious illnesses or death in some cats.
Why don't you leave her where she is?? no offense but I'm sure she's not that attached you are probably more so to her, cats don't capture that way and is familiar in her environment im sure. Just adopt a shelter cat who really needs a home, instead of making your ancient cat suffer for you. That is a brutal journey, and freakish bad things happen contained by long flights like that, for animals.
Answers: You can use USPS to ship your cat overnight using express mail. But you must pickup your kitty at the post department you put as a pickup that morning of arrival.
