So how do I lift prudence of a cat and how do I convince my parents to take me a cat?

The question pretty much says it all. But I am going to be a cat ace before i ask em anything and to do that I need your guyses help.I am responsible, one and only got in trouble once, I have a rabbit and a fish, I catch good grades, i do extra credit reports, and i right a lot. So ya pretty responsible.
:P This is gonna be fun.

I propose adopting an adult cat. They are already housebroken, litter trained, and out of the really frisky stage. Some humane societies will allow you to do a trial and run.

Older cats can be just as much fun as a kitten and as a bonus, they've already be housebroken! YAY!

Also, they'll already have shots and been spayed/neutered.

Taking care of a cat is simple even so it's not. Basic care guide is as follows:

-large litter box. Always, always keep verbs or they will poop elsewhere.
-food/water. They need this to live :P
-toys. Anything, even a paper ball will do. I propose going to the dollar store and buying some little cat toys with catnip. The cat will go nuts, and also become more affectionate/playful.

When pleading with your parents, claim that cats assist lower stress. I believe they do. Ask for an older one with the reasons I give you.

Cats are awesome, I hope you find a nice one!

Well, logically you need ALL of the materials...
Such as the litter-box, scratching post, food bowl, food, water bowl and some toys.
You necessitate to also get a clipper for the cats nails.

If you want a kitten, you'll need to train her/him to not chisel or do anything bad. =P

You sound pretty new for a cat fancier (or someone who simply wants to have a cat as a companion...) So I suggest you win a cat that's about 2 - 4 years old. Older cats would rarely attack furniture or climb up curtains. xD

Anyway, to convince them, start checking out books roughly cats and kittens and tell them interesting facts and 'supporting' details to hint you really want one. Learn a lot give or take a few them and stuff. ^.^ Keep doing well in school, also!

Answers:    Im 14 , and i other, ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted a pet and my mom didnt want to get one cause since i have a hamster that died when it was three ( of cancer) she is scared that any other pet might get sick & the unharmed family will be upset + it cots alot to pay for treatment for animals. I still bugged her about getting a dog, do i looove dogs but she says its just too complicated caring for a dog. So i said "yeah, next lets get a cat"

So to convince my mom , i first researched ALOT about cats and i dont really know how, but i found the best cat breed (well , i love it) its call Ragdoll, im not sure if you know about it but they are the most GORGEOUS cats & they are the nicest , smallest shedding (longhaired cats) around . So i researched ALOT on that breed, and i found out those cats act alot like dogs : they are the friendliest cat breed, they shed the least, some fetch & similar to to go on walks, they are really loving and are alot more attached to you then some other cat breeds. And i told pretty much EVERYTHING i found out in the region of the cat breed to my mom , i even showed her pictures and videos. And Ragdoll cats are also gorgeous cause if you obtain a full ragdoll breed, then they have the most gorgeous blue eyes & my mom totally loved that. My mom finally agreed to get a cat even though shes rather allergic to cat fur (she said she'll live , haha ) and im probably getting a kitty from a breeder this January/February cause my mom is still collecting for medical costs for the cat & stuff.

So the point is, if you know what kind of cat ( animal ) characteristics your mom like then find the best breed and tell her all more or less it . Show her pictures & videos , and hopefully it will win over her heart ;)

GOOD LUCK <3 :)
* wish me luck too haha.

PS : You should really research Ragdoll cats, they are amazing :)

First of all, pets are not cheap. They need vaccinations, flea preventative, food, kitty litter, and when getting a pet you call for to ask yourself this question: Can I afford to pay for anything that may arise during the existence of this animal? Anything from being hit by car, to disease, fights next to other animals, anything can and might happen, are you prepared financially? I work at a animal hospital and that is the most annoying thing to hear, "powerfully I don't have the money for that" I would love to reply " Well then you should have thought of that BEFORE you get a pet"!! A person would/should not have a baby whether they can not afford a pack of diapers, RIGHT? Same thing. Everyone loves a cute little puppy or kitty, but they require lots of LOVE,attention, training, and MONEY.
My manager say i hold to take off because i still hold my cat?   Why does my cat own spots on the top of her mouth?   Are kittens raise near young at heart children better behave?   How do i build my 2 yr matured cat step surrounded by his shipper to nick him to the vet?
