Someone shaved my cat as a Halloween prank, how long till the fur grows backbone?

well it will take weeks for it's fur to grow wager on
what a nasty article to do.apart from it being cruel your cat must have also frightened. if i be you i would shave whoever shaved your cats hair off (if they do not have coat on their head i would shave their balls and see if they similar to it..soon they will be scratching their balls and will think twice beforehand doing what they did.

how did they get your cat to hold still long adequate and you not notice what was going on? I cant get my cats to sit still long plenty to brush them let alone use a mechanical tool on them

Halloween is the ONE night keeping your cats indoors is a MUST. So, immediately you'll know to next year, right?
Answers: Aww the poor thing! THis is what happens when you let your cat out on halloween. Hope everyone academic there lesson. It will START growing back in a couple weeks but wont be hindmost to normal for maybe 6 months to a year. KEEP YOUR CATS INDOORS PEOPLE! :]

I'm so sorry about your poor kitty. My short haired cat have a paw shaved at the vet for an IV once, and it took two or three months for the hair to grow totally back.
It will take some time but I'd find out who did that to her.
Can't quite figure out how someone was competent to do this unless she was medicated!!
Need to keep that cat inside for at least 2 mos as it immediately has no defense against cold weather and hopefully will not get sick.
