These cats are too apathetic! How to I draw from them to work out?

They are on a a diet and that has helped a little but they don't excercise plenty I fear. They are inside cats. I have never seen such laid-back cats!
The toy ALL of my cats love the most is the laser pointer. It has never failed! And it is really inexpensive to. (~$5.00) You can even find it at places like the Walmart pet clause.
I know not all population are in an area they can let their cats external, but that really is best. It stimulates their body and mind. I lived in the country and I would prop the door open so the cats could explore at their spare time and come back in when they got in place or if they got scared. Once they get comfortable outside, I put them out in the morning and let them put money on in at night. They really loved it and it also elimated their shedding problem.
I reason you are the lazy one for not playing with them enough to confer them excercize. get a string toy and play with them for 15 mins every day try doing that a few times a morning.
Try teasing them with a laser light. I've see even the laziest cats respond to the ever irresistable light. Spend about 10-15 minutes a couple of times each daylight. As they lose weight, they should become a little more active.
Answers:    Cats love, love, love interactive toys. That means *you* play with them!

The best are wand toys /string toys. You direct where the expiration goes and they chase it or hunt it! : )

Once they are interested in catching the toy on th end, you can receive your cats fly! lol

Get those fat cats jumping and running! : )
Why don't you go outside more so they will follow you.
That is what i do and they get lots of exercise because they see me doing it.

Also buy toys and scratch posts and put out grass.
Try buying a leash for them and taking them on walks. An inside cat loves to explore outside!
HA! Getting a cat to work out?? Try getting a battery powered bird that hangs from the ceiling & flies around. A laser light is a great view too!
Hey, cats spend most of their time sleeping. That's what they do. If you over feed them or they own no stimuli to occupy their time they get fat like any other animal, culture included. Play with them, get them some toys and take some stirring interest and participate in busy play time it will be right for both of you.
Get active, exercise near them...that's what they want. Set an example.
