Was getting a cat for yourself one of the best things you ever done?

Getting a cat for our house was a total bust. The dog adopted the cat and now she won't hold anything to do with human contact or companionship. The dog loves her, though. After I go to bed she will come out from wherever and sleep beside the dog.
Hell yes. I got my baby Layne 6 1/2 years ago. He was nearly 6 weeks old found tied in a Kroger bag on a dirt road by my neighbor. She know I wanted a cat badly so she brought him to me
I was lone 15 but I promised myself I would take care of him till death. He is the greatest responsibility I took to relieve myself grow up.
When I am sad he is always there purring absent making biscuits on my legs or nuzzles my cheeks. I love him soo much! He has really become my best friend and means as much to me as a child.
The only doomed to failure thing about loving him so much is the worry of the afternoon he will pass away, and of course the 1,000s I spent on surgerys to gather his life and keep him healthy. ( He is indoors merely ) Money really isnt the issue its just the worry he will pass.
Layne have his own baby book, website, photo album, toothbrush, comb, shampoo, cat house, toys, private vet, collar collection, special food, cat hammock, you name it lol.
Often I get made fun of for have him tattooed and spoiling him but to be fair he spoils me with unconditional true love just for person myself. I dont think it can get any better than that!!
Hmm...well, my cat turned out to be really, really mean. I don't know what set her bad, but she's definitely not friendly. Regardless, I think I would be really sad whether I came home everyday to a lonely house without her, though.
Absolutely! I hadn't had a cat within ten years, since the previous one I had passed away. A stray have kittens in my yard and I began feed them, so suddenly I had five. I am so in love with them and am grateful for them every year.

My cat loves everyone, is bursting with love, and plays like a kitten even though he's 4. We didn't "get" him though, we rescued him. It's a sad story, but whether you want to hear it I will tell you.
Answers: Absolutely when my antediluvian cat died I didn't have a cat in the house for over 6 months. The house was inorganic with nothing exciting to come home to but when I get my 2 kitties all of that changed and they even have some of the traits that my weak cat used to have which is nice. I wouldn't be without them they make me pleased and helped me to get over the death of my other cat more confidently. They are my little treasures.
no because mine keep throwing up on my bed and pooping in my dresser. i hate that cat its not fair i save aksing to get rid of it but my mom wont let me :(
We got 2 cats within January this year and yes it was the best thing we've ever done coz they are both the best kitties ever lol.but we adjectives think that of our cats don't we? lol.
They have the funniest of personalities, they are so much fun and they hold got us wrapped around their little paws.

My cat is my friend. I know he understands when I am appalling and he knows when I am happy. He greets me when I get domestic and he snuggles me at night. I love him sooooo much. He makes me happy.
