What do I do around my poor kitten?

My in-laws have a barn with lots of animals and lots of barncats and we wanted a kitten and within were only two brothers that were really close, both not surrounded by really good health but we had plans to lug it to the vet so we took one anyway.

We got the kitten a few days ago. It has an eye infection (eye be red and swollen) and it was sneezing and drooling and shaking.

Its barely eating or drinking. We are giving him adjectives kinds of food and he won't even touch it as far as we can see. We have tried milk, cooked hamburger, ham, and chicken spread. We can only give an account that he might be eating/drinking because he has been doin his business rather bit in the litter box.

We have been giving him antibiotics that my surrounded by laws gave us and we can tell its working because the eye is looking better and hes not drooling. . . but hes still shaking closely.

We are taking him to the vet on Monday and I know that the vet will be able to help him. But I am still worried about him until after because I know hes barely/not eating at all. Is there anything I can try to help out him til I get to the vets?
try giving him a can of tuna...also warm milk may help nourish him until you can acquire him to the vet
Not much you can do. Try giving him boiled chicken or can tuna to see if he eats it. Make sure he is still drinking marine and make sure the litterbox is always verbs to stop the spread of germs. Good luck at the vet!
Did you furnish the kitty anything for a flea treatment? It sounds like the kitten ingested something poisonous or toxic. Drooling and shaking are serious symptoms..don't wait until monday..whether you can, get the little guy some help, he sounds really sick. Give him lots of love and care until you win him checked out..pick up some Nutrical for a vitamin supplement, all you have to do is put it on his nose and he will lick it past its sell-by date..simple..effective. I would pick up and eye dropper and make him drink some water also. I hope he pulls through, well brought-up luck :(
go to the feed store and get kmr - kitten milk replacement- for him. and righteous kitten food like wellness brand kitten food. good luck.
It's not a good idea to give antibiotics in need a prescription. If you give him too much or the wrong kind, it could hurt or kill him. Also, antibiotics that are given on an withdraw from stomach will cause nausea, and he won't have an appetite.
Stop the antibiotics. Give him canned kitten food, human kid food, milk replacer for kittens - you can buy this at a pet store. Kittens that aren't drinking or eating will dehydrate quickly, and their blood sugar will drop at a life threatening rate.
Also, you have need of to keep him warm. Their little bodies can't regulate the heat close to an adult can.
It is possible that he have a fever as that will surely cause people to shiver. I would shy absent from warming him up and see if that will help some. I be going to say see if you can cool him off, but, particularly if he's sick, dunking him or putting him outside wouldn't be a good move.

Also, whether he won't eat, try small amounts of goat milk, you can get at most stores, because it is more compatible and a bit better for them than cow milk. If he is quite young-looking, try moistening food and see if, perhaps he is just not switched over nonetheless to lapping from suckling.
Are these antibiotics for cats? we hope. Other than trying to get him to drink more and perhaps bringing his (theoretical) hallucination down, there's not much else open to you.
Good luck and how long before the vets?
STOP giving any medicines! consent to the vet decide on what to give him you might be giving him the wrong thing.
You might want to take him to the Emergency Vet...you never know if this is just a small problem or a big one & whether you wait...it could result in permanent impair or heaven forbid him dying. My brothers male cat had a urinary tract infection and he disappointingly waited too long and the cats system got poisoned and he passed away. I hope that the antibiotics you're giving him are for pets.
Hope kitty get better soon
Answers:    Sounds like an upper respiratory infection, but the drooling points to something else. The drooling is recurrently a sign of mouth ulcers. This is classic calici virus. Easily treatable with some meds from the vet and a little additional care and attention. Grab some soft can food and a syringe or dropper and squirt small amounts of the food in the kitties mouth a few times a hours of daylight. It also helps if you hold the food bowl up to their face so they dont own to learn over. These types of infections clog the sinuses and make it hard for the kitty to breath whether he has to bend his head down to eat.
