What do i do whether my cat go psycho?

My cat ran away for about 5 hours and when he get back he hissed and meowed like a maniac at the other cats and my dog. He is also 10 years old. Could it be dementia or something? What should I do?

give him a couple of hours.. myabe hes in shock.

Why does my cat bite my toes...
my indoor cat be lost for almost a whole day. when I finally found him he be shaking and scared. I brought him in and everyone was giving him a "sniff down" and he be pissy at everyone. He's normally the sweetest one. Not sure why they do it, but he will chill out and things will go spinal column to normal.
I also petted this really smelly dog once, and when I came in my kitty were smelling my hand and hissing. Maybe it has to do near the smell of the other animals after being out?

If he knew his way around this he would enjoy been ok for those 5 hours.
Sounds like he's had a fright-have you checked him over to be paid sure he's not been injured? If you are sure he's not hurt after just give him time to settle back contained by and reassure him.
