What do I do whether my cat is throwing up but I don't enjoy the money to clutch them to the vet?
My cat, whom is a little overweight, has been throwing up for 2 days immediately off and on.i have no money to take them to the vet,so is within something that I could do for him instead at home that would help him?
If you are in the UK look up the Blue Cross in the book and ask where their nearest nub is and take your cat there. I believe they will treat him for just a small donation, if not call the RSPCA and ask for their advice. Whatever you do you mustn't just rebuke this problem. You could also call your vets and ask if you could compensate a small amount weekly until the bill is paid. They may or may not help.
Sadly vets are charging too much money very soon and many pets are not getting the attention they need.
On top of this the credit crunch means lots folk are abandoning their pets altogether, it's a very sad time.
I trust you will do something positive to facilitate your sick cat.
edit; Cobweb has also given you two good ideas-the Cats Protection League and the PDSA
A cat throwing up one time is generally just a normal upset tummy or other issue, especially whether the cat is full grown, but not elderly, and in good health otherwise, and own only eaten their normal, appropriate for cats, diet.
However, since your kitty is overweight and have been throwing up repeatedly for an extended amount of time, it needs medical treatment.
Take him to the vet immediately... most vet would rather save the animal and sort out money later (or even receive no money at adjectives in the end). Even if the first vet turns you down, keep trying.
----Do it for the cat. It counts on you to perfectionism for it, it has no other options. Your financial issues are not the cat's fault, don't punish it merely because you can't afford to care for it.----
This could be a serious issue. Don't ignore it.
And please, don't have a cat whether you can't afford it. You're punishing the cat for your own personal situation.
But seriously: Take the cat to the vet. Now.
Can you work out a payment plan with you vet for the pop in? I'm sure it won't be very expensive. Or how about a credit card or borrow money from a friend?
My cat be throwing up recently and after his 3rd vet visit in 4 days they found out he ate a piece of rubber which be causing a blockage. He had to have surgery to remove it. If his temp is commonplace, he might have a blockage or hairball (they tried giving my cat lots of hairball medicine but the object be too big to pass on his own.) If the temp is high, he might be sick. It's not normal for a cat to not munch through and to vomit, take him to the vet if you want to save his energy.
http://moggycat13.tripod.com/id81.html this website might help. I hope your cat gets to intuition better.
It's probably nil - you can wait and see if the throwing up stops. Cats are notorious for without rhyme or reason puking. However, if this keeps going on, or if other symptoms start, something could be wrong, and there's really no track you or any of us on the internet can really say whatis going on, so in that case, solely a vet can.
If you don't have the resources to caution for an animal, then the best solution is to give it to somebody who can. Big problem in out country.
If the cat has been being sick for 2 days afterwards you need to take it to the vet, money or not, and soon! If you really don;t have the bread take it to the PDSA for free treatment or contact cats protection for help.
Okay, this cat is your responsibility and you absolutely have to take him to a vet. You can let somebody know the vet that your financial situation is not good at present and they will more than likely agree to some sort of payment plan beside you. It will more than likely be the case that there is nought much wrong and it won't be too expensive anyway.
In the meantime, it is very important to ensure that the cat does not become dry. He can manage without food for a while and indeed, it is probably best not to give him anything at adjectives to eat for a day or two. This will help his stomach to settle. You must generate sure that he is drinking plenty of water though (if he drinks milk, don't make the mistake of thinking that to be exact a substitute for water - it isn't and you should stop him having milk for a day of two as well).
I'm sorry, but you requirement to take him to the vet. If you knew you couldn't give him medical treatment when you get him, you shouldn't have gotten him.
Answers: If it's off and on vomiting and not after every banquet then even though mine would be at the vet, what you could try is with-holding food for 24 hours and then starting him on cooked chicken, small amounts and gradually reintroduce other foods whether he is ok with that. If he keeps being sick while trying this afterwards he is going to need the vet I'm afraid, also if he projectile vomits or brings up blood.Oh and get insurance for him.
beckon your vet and see what they suggest, also ask if they can take payments. You hold to get him treatment
Well some cats eat grass and nibble on house plants to help their stomach.
But enjoy you noticed any hair in the throw up?
Or he might justhave an upset stomach.
Think whether you have changed his diet lately, or if he could have gotten into anything contained by your home that he could have eaten or be poisoned by.
