Get a cardboard box and put a blanket or frail towel inside. Make sure you feed it atleast one can of cat food a day or boiled chicken. It would be better whether you go and get the cat spayed after she has her kittens. Good luck!
You can use blankets but make sure the box is within a place where it won't get wet. Another belief is to go to the Farmer's Co-op and get a bale of wheat straw. It is much warmer and loftier than dried grass. It costs in the order of $4 for a bale which should last through several bedding changes. The optimum thing you could do is bring the cat inside. That mode, you're sure the kittens (if any) and she are warm and protected. She might make the immaculate lap cat with a little TLC.
Answers: The answers for a cardboard box with blankets a good, but as cats are: they pick out their own place to sleep.
I would put boxes and blankets surrounded by about three different spots and in places that they can hide for safekeeping. Some high up and some lower.
You could put a towel on the grass and put also a few blankets? Or whether it is raining dothe same with a cardboard box?
Hope it works out ,
